moving on: wow, it's been a LOOONG time since i've updated, huh? well, let's go on wit it! *julie moved out! she got a place with cindy and is having a blast it seems like. it's alot more quiet at home now, but i think the move is good for our family. julie feels like she's living in a hotel. haha. newayz, i'll be going there alot when the mavs season starts because... *we cancelled our cable! wahhh~! my dad didn't want to pay for it and plus he says our family watches too much tv. geez. i can't really afford it with my part-time salary if i want to save some dough. so i sacrificed my mental well-being (jk) and decided i was just gonna drive over to julie's place for mavs games. :) cuz she can't live w/o her cable! *i'm finally into a routine. i'm a creature of habit. i must have a routine and finally i do. -mondays: school & work -tuesdays: volunteering -wednesdays: school -thursdays: volunteering & night school -fridays: work *volunteering is so fun. well, it's an experience. i go to an elementary school in dallas (near n.park mall) and teach TAKS (like TAAS) and help kids with their hw after school. the students are mostly hispanic so i'm picking up on their accents these days. "heeeey meees" (hey Miss~ which is what they call me). "i wanna be like shakeeerra" (i wanna be like Shakira). "my mom drives a mooostang" (my mom drives a Mustang). it's hilarious. and a bunch of fun. btw, i'm doing this for extra credit so don't think i'm an angel. hahah. jk. but i'm doing extra so i guess i'm a half-angel. again, jk. *the world really is small. in my night class, i found out that one of my classmates is my sister's childhood friend! it was sooo "what a coincidence!" i had already talked to her a couple of times (b/c we'd always get the same problems correct or incorrect), but i NEVER figured out it was her! so i heard her talking about her mom being a teacher at PSHS so i asked her and it was mrs. maloney! even more coincidence, my sister had her mom for pre-cal. very small world indeed. :) *car's doing well, but man, i got a flat the other week and it was a PAIN to get it fixed. it's such a long story that i won't get into details, but the freakin' tire cost me $155~!!! low-profile, performance tires are so freakin' $$$. i feel like a tire expert now. lolz. newayz, NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM TOYOTA OF PLANO!!!!! they have BAD, BAD after-sale customer service. trust me. go to any other toyota. please. *i saw "taeguki" here in dallas! w/ english subtitles! the pple i went with enjoyed it and even a grown man cried. :*) definitely worth watching. it's only playing at 1 theater here in dallas (amc 8 on 75 & walnut hill). hopefully it will get to more theaters. *i guess the big thing going on for me right now is Church. i've become totally immersed in it. not with activities, but there's this huge thing going on. unfortunately i can't really spill the beans about it (which is so rude of me, i know...but maybe you don't really wanna know...haha), but it's so mentally consuming right now that it's exhausting. as a loyal, loyal church go-er, it really tests everything you believe in and who you believe in...which the latter, is so much harder. you trusted pple, but slowly that trust fades away and it's disappointing. i dunno what will happen in the next few weeks, or months, but all of this has just been a big ordeal in my life right now. it makes me feel sad, dejected, unwanted, and useless, but with all these hardships, i know there's a reason for all this. so i just gotta trust Him with all of it. i can't do anything so i know that it's not up to me. anyways, sorry to end a down note. well, maybe not. actually, if you haven't seen "the bernie mac" show, you SHOULD. really hilarious stuff. oh and "the apprentice" is good too. oh and "america's top model". i'm a tv junkie, i know. maybe that's why my dad cancelled cable. hehe. not sure when i'm gonna update again b/c of all that's going on & me being super-lazy, but for now, i'll c u when i c u.
