tech geek-ed out: wow, i got 2 big things this week. dang, that did NOT sound good...

first: my car. whoo hoo~! :) i can't believe i'm driving it tho. i feel like it's not my car. i guess b/c our family has always had to share cars. the stupid salesman, aaron (that's right, i wrote his name! but no last name. i'm scurred.), was so freakin' strict about giving us stuff. ya know? like floormats (refer to previous posts). well, me & my dad decided to go all out. "give us the tire pressure gauges", we said. he still said no. so while i was signing a FAT check to pay for the car (no loans), he comes into the finance manager's office and tosses me 4 tire pressure gauges. we said "thank you" like he had just given us $500. so that's the freebie i got. whoopee. and man, writing out that check...whoa. never wrote a check that big before. and what about all my $ from korea? ALL went into that car. and yesterday, jimmy put wheel locks on my rims so i feel much more safe. :) but this is not as exciting as...

MY NEW PHONE! cell, that is. i got a sanyo 8200 in RED. it's niiiiice. speakerphone, camera, lcd screen...what more could u want? now before u start saying/thinking, "ooh, joyce is a lil rich, spoiled girl", i want to tell you how much the phone was: FREE. and my car is a necessity. if i could, i'd get a better one than that, but i'm trying to save $. anyways, the phone's awesome. the car's cool. and i'm a happy camper.

which brings me to...our Church retreat this weekend(!) ok, not sure if i'd put the "!" on the end. in some ways, i'm excited since i missed out on 2 retreats while i was in korea. retreats can be fun...if planned & carried out correctly. which leads me to...this retreat isn't being planned correctly. well, i guess not correctly, but definitely not effectively and u know, t. teddy, that i thrive on efficiency. so we'll see how this weekend goes. hopefully good.

i started kumon this past monday and it was pretty easy. i have a couple of nice co-workers (i already knew them before) and a couple of pple i'm not so sure about. on monday, being my first day, i wasn't used to the "routine". this one lady, chick, b, whatever, was like giving me attitude b/c i wasn't picking up the math homework to grade. well, i'm SORRY but it was my FIRST day. some pple can be so ______y. today will be my SECOND day so hopefully she won't be as ______y. :) i might have to take up roy's advice & start race-grading my co-workers like he did.

also looking forward to playing poker tonight! i played last week and won $5 (winner takes all) so we'll see if i can keep my streak alive. hahaha.
have a good labor day weekend! (^.^)v
