hello again: some of u probably thought i'd never update again but here i am! i'm actually at a pc room near my house updating this thing. and i'm so relieved. i felt like i've had some monkey on my back to update this. well, i know i'm a prolific writer and it would take hours for me to update what's ALL been goin on so i'll have to make everything short & sweet. :) *my mom and my sister- came and went. we had a great time. we shopped (till we literally dropped), ate at good places, had some interesting times with relatives, and my mom suddenly became the discount queen. basically my mom got 3 glasses well worth over $200 for less than $100!! i can never go to that place again. i felt so sorry for that guy. my mom cried before i left which she didn't do when i actually left for korea so it was kinda sad. i got teary-eyed, but i held it in. after all, there's only 3 months till i get back!! *lee seung hwan concert - my cousin and her boyfriend took me & my sister to this korean singer's concert. he's short and almost 40, but dances around like a teenager. he's kinda rock/ballad/satanic. like he'd sing this nice ballad and at the end, make all these scary, devil-sounding noises to totally ruin the song. not my kind of music but it was entertaining at times. *dramas - i'm into watching dramas again. after a while of bad dramas, these days there are so many good ones, u can't watch them all. i'm religiously watching "baek seul gongju" (snow white). this girl goes from:
to this:
and this guy is soooo cute!!
just ignore those clothes! :) *new schedule - at school, they totally rearranged the schedule so i lost about 90% of my original students. i think the schedule's better for me now, but i miss some of my old students. i got some cute new students so it helps me deal with the loss. lol. jk. *yoon gae sang - rapper/singer from god was shooting a movie scene infront of my house. so i waited in the cold for about an hour to catch a good look at him. it was well worth it. he looks very humble and was totally cute when he was smiling. i'm sure the movie will bomb, but i got to see him up close. :) *nami island - from april 4-5, me and few friends all went to a nearby island called "nami". we had to take a train and then a boat to get to that place. we stayed in 1 room, all 7 of us and had a great time. we did some ghetto bbqing (none of us really knew what to do), but it was still real good. we played games like mafia, spoons (in the train station with koreans looking at us), go fish in many languages (english, french, korean, and african clicks...hilarious), and most fun of all, basically hide and go seek in the dark with the one who's "it" blindfolded. omg, that was mad funny. one guy fell backwards over a low table b/c he thought there was a wall behind him. it was like a scene from a cartoon. and i totally slipped and fell on my butt b/c i slipped on a blanket. i don't think i had that much of a good time playing such childish games since i got to korea. the next day we went to the actual island and looked around for a couple of hours. not really much to see, but they did shoot the drama "winter sonata" (gyu wool yun ga) there so that was okay to look at. but the REAL fun was that there were WILD OSTRICHS roaming about the island! we were all tired from playing games the night before so we all fell asleep on a field. after about 30 minutes, we all woke up. then all of a sudden, a friend goes, "OSTRICH!!!!!!!!!!" there was one coming in our direction. and it wasn't goin that fast. so kids were coming up to it and touching it and stuff. so then one friend grabs his camcorder and the guy who yelled "OSTRICH!!" went after the ostrich. he went up to it basically doing this choking motion on it and the ostrich lunged at him, but he didn't get hurt. it was so funny. later on i found out that they're raised there to eat. ew. those ostrichs looked nasty. anyways, i had such a great time hanging out with these guys. :) *poker - been doing alot of that lately it seems like. i learned how to play "TEXAS hold'em". i can totally see how gambling can become so addicting. you're always thinking, "my card's coming up" when ALMOST have what u need to get the pot. but i can control myself. :) i also went to the horseraces for the first time ever out here. that's fun, too. i lost probably about $5 from that day but it was worth it. u can go up real close to the race track and see the finish right infront of ur face. i dunt know what it's like at lone star park back home, but i wanna go when i get back. i also went to the casino the other night and lost $10 in roulette. i was tempted to play blackjack and caribbean stud poker, but i don't have the guts to do it. i'm such a chicken. but hey, when i get back, anybody wanna play "texas hold'em" with me? eddie??? :D *mavericks - are sucking big time it seems like. julie's been telling me all the nellie controversy and he's probably not coming back next year. too bad. i liked him as a coach. not really sure what good coach could replace him, but man, i hope the mavs pull this one out. although i doubt it. =( sean's coming to korea at the end of may so i'm excited. jonas is supposed to come to korea, but not sure if he's going to be in the area so maybe i won't get to see him. =( but i think i'm starting to get that itch to come home so i'm glad a dallasite is coming over here. i officially got my departure date: aug 7th. i extended for a week so i could go on vacation before i get back home b/c it would be such a waste if i didn't atleast go to another asian country since i'm over in this part of the world. even tho in reality, there's ONLY 3 months left, i feel like it will feel much longer. i hope not. miss u guys back home alot. i feel MUCH better now that i'm updated. and if u guys are bored, check out roy's page (on the left side) and check out some pics. i think i'm in a couple of them. but those are the guys i usually hang out with. ok, hopefully i'll be able to update much sooner that i have been. see ya'll~ (^.^)v Squirted 8:27 PM by E-J Yi
