drunk people are funny: i never realized what a good time u can have hanging out with drunk people. i went out "drinking" (as in i don't drink anything) with some of the teachers from my school. we had a fun time in kangnam station. went to 2 drinking places, nohraebang, and ANOTHER drinking place. sheesh! and what time did i get home? 4:30. that's the latest i've been out. what a rebel, i know. i dunno if i can take that anymore. i'm not even drunk and i have a hard time functioning the next day. it must be like exhausting for the others. one of the highlights: one teacher grabbing a clam shell from the food and wanting to eat it, but another teacher said, "hey, we already ate the inside of it." then he goes, "to tell u the truth, i thought it was a nacho chip." oh this is all, "you just had to be there" stuff. anyways, i hadn't laughed that hard since i got here so it was all good. i'm almost finished with my dance class. i'm debating whether or not i should sign up for the next session b/c i'm not really down with the song, "let me dance"; ANOTHER lexy song. i'm not sick of "eh song yi" (which means "lil boy" when referring to relationships or something like that) yet, but i dunno about that song. anyways, i'll decide soon. i finally got paid the other day, but when i saw my "receipt", i was mad. they took out freakin' 3x the income tax. in korea, there can be a huge difference between $10 even in the income tax brackets. what's up with that??? i wasn't a happy camper. i worked my butt off only to make about $500 extra. freak!!! i FINALLY went to Church today. yay me. i still was a bit late, but i'm always glad to go when pastor leo rhee is preaching. today he was talking about how words can scar kids. when he was a youth pastor (meaning in his early 20s), he had this one teenage girl in his group who was a lil chubby. he goes, 'so at that time, she wore alot of Guess? so when i saw her, i'd go, "about 200 lbs"? (hahahah!) then i didn't see her for a month. i called her house. her mother told me she was hanging out with the wrong crowd. i finally get to catch up with her and she had lost 30 lbs. i asked her how she did it and she said she ate choco pies for a month! be careful what u say guys.' amazing huh? choco pie diet? who would have thought that would help you LOSE weight, not gain it? ************************************************************* that was from a while ago. internet's screwed up at my cousin's place b/c somehow the location of her villa is the worst place of all or something to get a connection. finally it's working now. so some more news... got my new mp3 player!! iriver. 512 mb. freakin' small and awesome. i d/led like mad friday night b/c the internet was up again. soribada. awesomeness, too. so it's been lots of fun playing and listening to my new toy. went to my FIRST CASINO today!! v-day. i was feeling bored and didn't want to be at home tonight. geez. korea goes crazy with valentine's. couples hugging EVERYWHERE. and plus it was super windy and cold today. well, i was eating with 3 other guys at bennigan's...all of us either american or canadian citizens. we were gonna go drinking (atleast them) in kangnam station, but the guys weren't really up for it. then it was like we all decided to go to the walkerhill hotel casino. but 3 of us didn't have our passports on us so me and 1 teacher went to my place and the other 2 went to their respectives homes to get theirs and we were all gonna meet up at the casino. got there. looked not like one of those casinos u see on tv or in the movies. tacky signs. but lots of people in there. to make things short, i only played roulette b/c hardly any room at the blackjack tables and plus they were pretty intimidating. but man roulette was real fun. i put in 30,000 won (about $25) and came out down about $5. but then one of my friends was going real hot in blackjack...so i tried to ride his streak by putting my chips on his. bad timing. so in all, i lost all 30,000, but no more than that. i had set my limit on 100,000 (about $90) so it wasn't too bad. but the "hot" friend came out with 500,000 ($480) after putting in about $50. nice. and u can scan ur passports in their computer so you don't have to bring them again. dangerous, i know. and yeah, i'll be making another trip soon, but i'm setting my limit to 30,000 this time. 100,000 is for vegas! alright it's 4am now. oh and HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY to my chingoo, sean. the day after his bday, i was riding in a taxi and heard the young turks song that me & him always danced & sang to during hs. oh the memories. hope this year is a good one you monkey!! :D Squirted 12:47 PM by E-J Yi
