hey ya'll~

quick update:

1. got an interview with a recruiting company. they already found me a job with LG. (a big company here.)

2. got an interview monday with another hag won (english-teaching school).

3. ate the MOST DELICIOUS meal EVER today for lunch!! at yamamoto's. sushi. cost about $100 for 3 people. insanely good.

4. the other day i *think* i saw kang sung hoon from jekki, but not positive. my cousin kept walking so i had to, too.

5. saw choi jung won (from UN) at yamamoto's. didn't have an opportunity to ask for a pic.

6. ate delicious spaghetti my aunt made.

7. had a hard time yesterday...

explanation: i was supposed to meet my cousin, dong hye, at 2:30 b/c she was going to go with me to the recruiting company interview just to make sure that i got there safely. i got to the bus stop at 2:20. i waited until 2:45 for her. she didn't come. my interview time was at 3. i quickly took a taxi and had to find this place. there wasn't a crosswalk so i had to go down the stairs to the subway station platforms. i had to find exit #3. i was at exit #1. i had to freakin' by a subway ticket to get to #3. me being so stupid, i forgot to get my ticket after i passed through. so i when tried to get to the #3 exit, i couldn't b/c of no ticket. so i had to buy ANOTHER one. then i finally got out. couldn't find the stupid building. went inside a building and asked some ahjuhshi (random old man) where the PAGODA building was. he said he didn't know. i felt like going home. but i just kept RUNNING (in my suit and uncomfortable shoes) until i FINALLY found it. i practically RAN into the office dripping with sweat. but all was well b/c my interview went well. i was mad at my cousin, but oh well. i can't stay mad for long.

i hate the sticky, humid feeling about korea.

anyways, that's all for now. other than the episode yesterday, things have been fairly good.

i feel like cryin now...: everything was going fine until now...

before i get to the crap that just happened, i'll bring you up-to-date on what's been going on...

1) been working out: okay not REALLY hard core, but i went to the gym 2x. actually broke a sweat. and i have been walking around a bunch in my Sunday shoes. that's what i really hate. i wouldn' t mind the walking if i could wear my sneakers or flip-flops, but you just can't do that in Seoul. what a life.

2) been good with my money: i bought a lil cash organizer. basically a balance booklet where i keep track of how much i spent and stuff. i actually have everything written down to the last 10 cent coin! :) never happened before.

3) been eating less: my aunt doesn't really cook for me. not that she doesn't want to, but nobody really eats together at their house. so i have to eat by myself which makes me lose my appetite. my aunt says i have lost some weight since i got here, but it's only been a week and a half.

4) been watching lots of tv: there's alot of SUCKY dramas right now, but the game shows are great! if you can rent them, rent: "sunday night (il yo il bam eh)" and "yah shin man man". both are freakin' hilarious. :D

5) been to a job inteview: which is the bad news...

i interviewed with this place that i REALLY wanted to work for. i was a lil apprehensive about it cuz they're majorly anal, but turns out i won't even get a chance. they turned me down. wonderful. now i gotta look for these other places. sux. i really hope that this isn't a sign or something. i'm really discouraged by this. please pray for me. =*(

another a COMPLETELY random note: this week, i experienced my first "female locker room". as in, i have never really been in a female locker room. (meaning: i don't work out.) i dunno how it is in america, but here, women walk around here FREE as a bird. buck naked. and it's hard to get used to. bushes everywhere. ok, i'm being a lil too graphic, aren't i? anyways, i feel fat here, but at the same time, tall. ok, i thought that topic might liven my down mood. (it did a lil).

next week, i'm meeting up with alley and meeryong unnie. i hope i can get some encouragement from them even though it will be mostly entertainment. i've been really bored lately, but it was b/c of this whole waiting game with this school. screw them. i would have been a GREAT teacher, but they missed out, right? their loss.

i feel better already.

btw, i won't be able to update frequently until saturday when my cousin, seo hwan, comes. my cousin, dong hye, (whom i'm living with) accidently erased the password to the dsl so we can't log on. i'm at a PC bang (room) right now being choked to death w/cigs. *cough cough*

i can find another place. right? (-.-)

it's raining, it's pouring!: dang, it's been raining alot these days...

the good thing about the rain is that it makes the weather cooler and shuts the stupid bugs up! but right when the rain stops, i'm not kidding, the bugs start wailing when the drops stop falling. ridiculous!

i stayed home again today. i helped my cousin clean her room a lil bit, but i just did nothing all day today. i'm just glad i found out that my interview is on wednesday @ 1:30. dang, it's supposed to last 2 hrs! i wonder what they're going to put me through. :)

anyways, i have been finding out about all these gossipy things about korean stars these days. see this lady?



if you watch k-dramas, you have atleast seen her before. she's in everything. anyways, she got her jawline shaved. yeah, they actually open up the skin and shave off your jawline bone to make it smaller. but the older you get, the less likely it will turn out good. this lady got it done and it screwed up her face. when she talks (yeah, she's still on tv. i'd get off asap.), she has these holes in her cheeks and her mouth is crooked like this: =\. sad, huh? she was pretty before...dunno why she had to ruin her face like that.

tomorrow i'm actually going to go work out at korea's version of "24 hr fitness" called "california's fitness". it's supposed to be some hip place to work out. my aunt wants me to get a membership there, but i dunt want to. i want to go somewhere there's not that many people. at the "cali" place, it's packed on all 5 floors. who wants that? i dunt want alot of people seeing my buddha belly! >.<

been eating alone alot these days which i hate. been eating less these days, too. i dunno if i'm losing weight tho. we'll see in about a week.

anyways, things should get more interesting in a couple of days. you can wipe the sleep from your eyes now. (-.-)

another lazy day...: zzzzz...

ok, i'm awake. actually i'm very sleepy. why?

this morning, i went with my cousin to drop off my aunt at the airport. airport which is an hour away. my aunt's flight was very early so therefore, i had to wake up at 6:30. oh yes. very fun. went there and came back by 8:30. fell asleep after that. then my other cousin (i should give them names, no?), ji yun, picked me up and we went to eat spaghetti! yummy~!

btw, it's really weird how koreans HAVE to have pickles when they eat spaghetti or pizza. they think it's too oily so they need something to counter it.

anyways, afterwards, we headed to ji yun's house and i just chilled there. watched some tv, talked with her & my aunt, and ate dinner there. now i'm back home at my cousin (dong hye)'s house. where i'm staying now.

man, what's up with xanga? doesn't work for some reason...

btw, i was wrong about the actress (yesterday's entry). she's NOT from north korea. i dunno where i got that story. her parents are both deaf and she grew up kinda poor, but now she's making big bucks. ok, i had to clear that up.

alley called me last night and we got to talk for a bit. :D she's doin' all this stuff (touristy stuff i've already done) and losing weight at the same time. nice! we're supposed to meet up on aug. 7th. i'll be busy around that time. my cousin, seo hwan, is in the army and will be back aug 2nd. he's dong hye's brother. he's a year older than julie. (julie's the baby of the whole family tree. i'm the 3rd youngest.) then my OTHER (ANOTHER ONE) cousin, ji ook, (ji yun's younger brother) will be back from japan on aug. 5th. lots of people to meet. and while all this is probably very boring for you to read, i am just typing this so i'll remember later. ha.

my job, you're wondering? i'm scheduled for an interview this week with a very posh, very good-paying place. however, i don't know exactly WHEN i'll be interviewed. i should find out either tomorrow or the day after. i really, REALLY want to work there since that means i'll be staying put (or atleast nearby here) so i'm really hoping that they'll hire me. gosh, i hope so...

sorry for the incredibly boring entry. maybe i'm the one getting bored. haha.

random note: i got 4 mosquito bites in like 2 hrs. my cousin, ji yun, gave me this mosquito killer. koreans have all sorts of mosquito-killing products.
