two weeks notice: i did it guys! i did it!

i'm not a virgin anymore! JUST KIDDING!

about 5 minutes ago i told my boss that i was leaving. that i was giving her my 2 weeks notice. i was freakin' nervous before. my stomach was all in knots. probably could have gone #2, but decided not to. she took it really well and was happy for me. i'm so glad that she didn't have a sour face. now my stomach is still uneasy. ugh. i wish i was in my home bathroom right now.

i told my dad last night and he actually took it better than i thought. i thought he would end up in this pissy mood, but he just said, "i don't know what to say. it's your life." then as i went up the stairs, i couldn't hide my huge grin on my face. :D <-i literally looked like that. and actually this morning my dad calls and offered to put me in an apartment with julie if i stayed. i declined. if that's going to happen it's going to be sans julie. no offense to her, but i'm sure she feels the same way. we need time apart from each other. plus i don't think she wants to spend money like that. i don't think it has 'hit' me yet, but i'm sure when my last day of work (20th) comes around, i'll know it then. i'm soooooooo relieved!!! (actually, physically i'm not, but that can wait...)

aside from that news, i had dinner with sean last night. @ steak 'n shake. it was pretty good. probably even tasted better after waiting a freakin' HOUR for sean. i swear, he has no sense of direction. sean, i got much luv for ya, but doode, next time we're going to eat somewhere you've been before. maybe your house would be a good place. haha. anyways, i had a good time just talking and catching up. the past 2 dinners has been so fun. ann, then sean. i hope they're always like this!

btw, ann...i think b_____ kinda looks like this actor.



plans for the weekend: movie night @ Church tonight. clean-up the house tomorrow. watch videos. get documents (passport, diploma, etc) ready for korea. exercise.

eye candy: can good looks forgive one's height?

yesterday, ann was showing me pics from UT graduations and i saw that she had a really good-looking friend. he kinda looks like one of these korean actors. (ann, if i find a pic i'll show you.) anyways, ann tells me he's not as tall as he looked in the pics. about 5'7". (and he's younger than me! sheesh. he's chinese, but that really doesn't matter.) no, i'm not interested in him, but i'm using him as an example. like you would be able to forgive a guy for his height b/c of his good looks? what about a girl who has a beautiful face, but is taller than the guy? a good looking person gets far in this world. but to what point? i was telling ann (as a joke) that i could forgive his height b/c of his looks. dang, i really hope i'm not that superficial. haha.

i had a yummy lunch with my umma (mom) @ seoul garden. oh and i found out that i'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled out. just on 1 side. in 2 weeks. after i quit. haha. my insurance runs out on the last day of this month.

i'm supposed to talk to my dad tonight about giving my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. he'll be pissed, but hopefully not too pissed. >.< but before that, dinner with sean tonight! :)

blame it on the rain!: yeah~, yeah~! milli vanilli was freakin' hilarious.

it's raining. it was pouring. i wish i was snoring.

my arm still hurts. i was basically screwed by that nurse. my dad was annoyed that she had to stick me twice. i wish i could get off work for this. haha.

nba finals is freakin' borrrrrrring. i tried to watch the 4th qtr last night, but i yawned so much watching it. =O

last night i had a great time eating dinner with my ann~. =D we went to cheesecake factory b/c i was craving the miso salmon (which was REALLY good at first, but then got to be a lil too rich for me. had some ice cream and was about to bust out. afterwards me & ann went to the bookstore to check out this month's LUCKY magazine b/c our friend seena is in it! see the pic below...



sexaaay~! i wonder how much one of those cost. O_O

yay loretta is coming to work with me!! she got the part-time internship here. i'm sooooo glad that i'll have a friend to talk to and hang out with! :D

me & ann were talking about how we wanted to raise our kids here in texas. she said when she goes on vacation out-of-state, she gets this huge surge of texas pride. IF i ever leave this place, i believe i will, too. texas has the prettiest flag. texas is one of the top contenders in sports. texas is a big state. texas has friendly people. texas is the best!!!

today's my dentist appointment. they're squeezing me in after my mom. and hopefully i'll get a good meal after that. kinda ruins the teeth cleaning tho. and i'm missing some work! whoo hoo~!

say it ain't so-sa!: sammy sosa got caught cheating. and now i'm very disappointed in him. "smiling sammy" isn't smiling no more...

i usually don't mind doctor's visits, but today was horrible. let me run down what happened...

1. i go there only to find out that i didn't have my insurance card. (i never got one in the mail.) so then i had to ask my HR dept at work to fax one in. done. everything's cool.
2. the nurse asks me to change into this outfit. the outfit consisted of a small sheet and one of those things you wear when you're getting a haircut. yeah, the sides are open up top. and i gotta take my bra off. =O i never had to do this. well, i put this outfit on and i gotta hold on to my sides AND the small sheet that's supposed to cover my lower half. horrible. sat there wondering how to sit & stand when the dr came in.
3. during the exam, the dr has to feel my tummy. (routine, of course.) i absolutely HATE this part of the exam. b/c i'm freakin' ticklish. i was trying so hard not to laugh that i bit my lip. (not hard, of course.) but it was freakin' hard to keep from laughing. i bet he felt my flab (fat+ab) muscles workin' overtime.
4. had my blood. normally, this is a cinch for me. i don't get scared. i used to watch them prick me, but now i watch after they prick me. anyways, the nurse did & she had to fill 2 vials up. the first one filled up quickly. my blood was like shooting out or something. then she had to switch and fill the 2nd one. well, it starts filling up a lil and then all of a sudden, she pulls out the needle! @#$%$#^?!?! she was like, "oops. didn't get enough. gotta try again." #$%$#@^!!! so then she had to prick me again. and this time it hurt like a mofo. didn't hurt at ALL the first time, this time i cringed. it hurt. and now i have a bruise on my arm and it hurts to bend it. can barely type this, too...
5. after all that, i have to go take a chest x-ray. that was okay UNTIL i got ready to pay and they said, "you're not covered with medical, only dental." WHAT?!?! this whole thing was already taking me more than 2 hours and i had to wait to hear that i wasn't covered? omg. how did my HR send them my card then? i left (after signing a paper saying that they can bill me if i find out i'm not covered) and spend about 30+ minutes driving to work. scarfed down a filet-o-fish from mickey d's (i know, healthy) and raced to work. was not a happy camper.
6. got to work and got a call from aetna saying it's the HR dept's fault. i go to HR and they're saying it's aetna's fault. i don't care WHO'S FAULT it is, i'm not going to pay $80 for a stupid chest x-ray. if i find out i'm not covered, then i want all the money they deducted from my paycheck. in PENNIES.

and now i'm sitting here with my arm hurt and a headache. i hate this place.

good news tho...i'm meeting ann for dinner. =)

watched "america's top models" again last night. it is a really great show. guys, you can catch beautiful women in skimpy clothes. girls, you can see what it takes to be a model. not like any of us will be one. i think elyse will win the whole thing. she's the most natural at it.

ok i'm waiting on this ahjumah from korea. she better hurry up. >.<

ducks, seeds, and cranberry juice: yuck. 2 of those were combined last night. a disgusting combination. read on to find out what...

found out the papa duck is still alive. remember back when we thought he was killed? nope. he's ALIVE!!!! (cue frankenstein music & lightening.) i guess that was another duck, but the papa and mama ducks are doing just fine thankyouverymuch. my sister & my mom both have seen (on separate occasions) the duck couple walked around the neighborhood. and i mean walking. my mom said that they walked side-by-side one another as if taking a stroll. WEIRD. and my sister said they're not afraid of people. people are more afraid of them. so now comes to another DUCKY update:

the night before last...around 5am...i hear, "QUACK, QUAck, quack....QUACK, QUAck, quack." #@$%$#^% i get up and see one of the ducks swimming around in our pool. so i opened my window and yelled, "BAH!" the duck stopped quacking for a split second and started back up again. so then i grabbed my sony videotape and started banging it against the window. still didn't fly away. so i went to the living room to grab our mavericks clappers that my sister & dad used last time to scare them off. CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP!!!! the bird doesn't BUDGE. what da freak?!?! so then i YELLED while i used the clapper. again, swimming around in the pool. pissed off, i ran downstairs, grabbed a golf club and RIGHT when i opened the door, it finally flies away...just like those ducks did in "DUCK HUNT" on the original nintendo. (does anybody know what i'm talking about?) anyways, i couldn't fall asleep after that. my dad told me to throw tennis balls at them next time. julie suggested an airhorn. i think i'm going to borrow won & ho's bb guns.

last night, my mom heard from her good friends about this "diet drink". this famous violinst in korea, kim jee hyun, that my family is friends with (she was on yoon do hyun's "love letter" and a pantene pro-v hair model in korea...looks like kim hae soo a lil) told her husband about this cranberry/flax seeds drink. he drank it and he lost 10 lbs without working out. so my mom and some other ahjumahs (old ladies) bought cranberry concentrate and flax seeds. cranberry concentrate is NOT cranberry juice. it's N.A.S.T.Y. no sweetness whatsoever. and flax seeds look like chicken feed. well, you mix 1 part cc and 1 part water with 2 tablespoons of flax seeds, drink 2x daily and bam! lose 10 lbs. so my mom made a cup for my sister. she took a drink and gagged. barely could get through half of the mixture. being the older sister who can "take anything", i told my mom to fix me one. (i NEED to lose 10+ lbs.) no problem. just swallow really fast. don't think about it. how bad could it be? i took one gulp. @%^#$&^!!! tasted like @#%#$^#%^$^! i seriously almost threw up. it was so nasty. those seeds were getting stuck in my teef. but i drank the rest to prove to my sister it was nothing. then i gagged again when i got to the end and there was a bunch of seeds at the bottom. it was so gross. my parents said it was no problem for them. HA! i'd like to see them do that. so instead, you can put the "chicken feed" in other things like cereal or oatmeal. so that's what i did this morning. but i did almost gag again when i smelled the seeds. why isn't there some magic potion for weight loss? >.<

this morning, i talked to kihwan who's in korea. he was telling me about how it's not as bad as my dad (and whoever he talks to) thinks. kihwan is a rare korean guy. he doesn't smoke OR drink in korea. read that sentence again. he. does. not. drink. in. KOREA. to those who aren't familiar with the climate/culture of korea, if you're part of the male species, you MUST drink to survive socially & professionally (career-wise). but kihwan has played his cards right and refuses to do so. it really is an amazing feat and i applauded him for it. (too bad i don't have my mavericks clapper with me now...) anyways, he did say something funny. that his dad was always trying to set me or julie with his younger brother, chaehwan. i don't mean "funny" in a "yeah-right-when-h___-freezes-over" way, but "funny" as in "oh-that's-very-nice-of-you-to-think-of-us-that-way". btw, if you know of a fobby korean girl who's between the ages of 22-24, kihwan is taking apps. hahaha.

tomorrow morning i have a doctor's appointment. YES! i miss some work. and then thursday, i have a dentist appointment @ 12. YES! more work missed! i gotta get in my medical check-ups before i bust this joint. btw, i called the lady yesterday to send me the contract. she said she would, but still no email. please hurry ahjumah!!

where is the love?: dang this song is stuck in my head...and i had no idea that j.timberlake was in it. maybe i won't let it too much now. haha.

had a pretty good weekend. had Bible study @ the pyuns friday. julie got sick and we left "early" at 12. saturday morning i got up relatively early *9:00* and started watching korean videos. i'm getting addicted again. i can't help it. there's this 1 drama that i started watching and it's absolutely hilarious and wonderful. it's about this guy and girl who keep bumping into each other for a span of 10 years. they're friends first (but he likes her), then eventually become bf/gf, but, as of now, they're trying to be friends again. one line i keep hearing over & OVER again is, "there's no such thing as friends between boys and girls!" (mostly coming from their parents). anyways, it's a really great comedy/drama. later that night, me & julie went to chili's to eat dinner with sara. and we run into ann, joanne, fiona, and alex lin! lots of people! :) us *P*L*A*N*O* girls GOT to get together. forrealz! anyways, me, julie, and sara had a great dinner laughing it up, of course. "U GOT FIFTH GRADE HANDS! YO HANDS STOPPED GROWING AT FIFTH GRADE!" lol. ok, sorry for the inside joke. then me & sara went to see "how to lose a guy in 10 days" at the dollar theater. it was alright. funny, but got sillly at some parts. kate hudson is cute and matt mc______y has a "hot body" (sara's words). eh. his pecs are slightly too big. anyways, good movie for $1.50.

karl "the mailman" malone might be coming to the mavericks?!?! long ago, malone was one of my favorite players. he was big, trash-talking, and most of all, dominant. now he's older, but still pretty big. not sure if he'll solve all the inside problems with dallas, but that would be cool. unless we get jermaine o'neal, then i'd rather take him. even if it means trading away finley, nash, or both.

hoping to get my contract to korea this week. i have a wild imagination. b/c of it, i couldn't fall asleep thinking about all the cool things i could do/see in korea. my dad made last-ditch attempts to get me to stay, but i won't. so for all those people who will talk bad about me (as my dad says WILL happen) when i go, i don't really care what other people think. i'm going to do this. which means I.GET.TO.QUIT.MY.JOB.SOON!!!!! YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

aite. hope that i get to announce my "resignation" by the end of this week.
