depressed in big D: pictures say a thousand words...
we actually saw finley cry. =*( i didn't, but man, you know how much he wanted this. he's been through the bad and now, the good. this guy is a true class act. i can't believe how we went down. it was like we traded identities. suddenly WE were SA: big lead and then giving it away in the 4th. how could this happen? there's so many questions now. and most of all, is nellie coming back next year? eddie thinks nellie's going to resign since he dodged the question yesterday. nellie's a great coach, but he doesn't coach defense. jeff van gundy would be a really good coach for any team, including ours. but that probably means a roster change, too. even as much as people diss on bradley & raef, i still like them. maybe i like them b/c of their personalities. we have the nicest team in the nba (ok, SA is a close second), but i know if dallas wants to win a ring, we gotta break up one of the big 4. i'm guessing that nash will probably leave since finley is 30 and his game still needs improvement. dirk's our franchise so he won't budge. van exel has proven to be a key person in the playoffs. we need raja & najera for our defense. everybody else? they're all negotiable and hopefully have some trade value. i hope cuban does the right thing and trades for a big inside man. swallow your pride and get somebody for bradley. yes folks, there are people who want bradley. so "bye" to the wonderful 2002-2003 Dallas Mavericks team that gave me one of the most exciting times of my life. (dang i sound overly dramatic!!) btw, dirk was wearing the cutest shirt!! a nike air-jordan baseball style shirt. wish i had a pic to show u. i'm going for the nets now. cuz "k-mart" is from dallas & so WAS kidd. i'm mad at SA for knocking us out. GO NETS!! now what am i supposed to do with my life? jk. now i guess i'll be getting more sleep and thinking much less about sports. oh wait...FOOTBALL season starts in 4 months~!! :D and cuz i'm hecka bored...the friday 5: 1. What do you most want to be remembered for? for being Christian. loyal. funny. a friend. 2. What quotation best fits your outlook on life? "Everything happens for a reason." yeah, God's reason. 3. What single achievement are you most proud of in the past year? winning the nick carter contest! just kidding! i guess (barely) graduating from college. 4. What about the past ten years? keeping myself from going down the "wrong path". despite how much i feel imprisoned at home, i still haven't gotten crazy and messed it up like others i've seen. and i still haven't gotten drunk or smoked a cig. there are many times when i felt like busting out and doing something rebellious, but everytime i stop myself b/c i guess...i'm a scaredy cat. haha. 5. If you were asked to give a child a single piece of advice to guide them through life, what would you say? "Pray. it works." dang, i got all spiritual all of a sudden. those are some thought-provoking questions. maybe it's just me. =P song of the day: black eyed peas - where is the love? Squirted 11:08 AM by E-J Yicase of the ex: man, i'm tired from last night... but first, tonight's is (again) a potential elimination game for the mavs. and dirk is doubtful. dang. can we win again without dirk? is it possible? anything's possible. raja said, "if you [the homecrowd] leave [the AAC] with a voice, then you didn't do your job. if we can walk after the game, then we didn't do ours". HECK yeah!! i LOVE his attitude! finley says to "bring it". i sho hope the mavs do!!! i'm nervous. people are still saying the spurs will win tonight. let's hope that they're wrong. last night we met up with sara & sandy @ stonebriar's d&b. i guess i don't mind going there, but i don't like playing video games really. i only like pump which they don't have. got to meet tim after like 5-6 years. i'm surprised he recognized me. he will be a "good catch" for whatever woman in the future. he's at MIT, ladies! =) one of his friends, linda (?), came to visit him and told us that it IS true what we all think about MIT: THEY'RE ALL NERDS! hahahah! she was serious. hahahha. nah, she & tim are cool. =) things went downhill from there when chris, the ex, joined us. i hate being around him b/c of the awkwardness. not him, of course. he can't act normally around me and that bothers me. i'm the one acting the same (really i am), but he gets all quiet and sedated which people who know him, knows he ain't. i know the moment me & julie left, he was back to his crazy self again. sheesh. but it was good seeing mah girl, sandy. she's always making me laugh by embarrassing sara. ha! and we ran into nathan ("nah-ran") there. he's like me & julie's lil brother. so funny. he was asking me if i'm getting pressure to get married b/c eunice was. hahaha. eunice, i'll be contacting u soon. hahaha. (why do i keep writing, "hahahah"?) anyways, nathan-the-cutie, will be heading over to LONDON(!) for a whole year to study. and probably will be either an english or history teacher after he graduates. part of nathan's "posse" was yoo chan who i was in band with back @ shepton. that guy was always a punk. we hung out sometimes in band since there weren't many koreans there...namely me, him, and leonard. but then yoo chan was always that "i'm-a-tough-korean-guy-don't-mess-with-me" type. he's very funny. and i might add, he's actually pretty good-looking. no, i'm not interested, i promise. i know and as nathan would put it, "he's unsociable". ditto that. anyways, we're at d&b until 11. just standing there watching tim, chris, and john play video games. i hate wasting time like that. sandy agreed. we should have just went to java & cha or something. so now i'm tired after wasting 3 hours last night. yay. thinking about filling out one of those survey thingys. maybe i'll do it later. i'm officially bored. song of the day: nas - i know i can...is that the name of the song? the one that has "fur elise" as the background. dang somebody's been smokin' in the ladies restroom. unacceptable! it's been going on for more than a week and somebody spoke up about it. somebody had been smoking in there and/or dumping ashes. it was so nasty. i couldn't breathe hardly. blech! i had subway today. boy was it good. espn called my sister today and told her that the tickets they had offered us were reserved for when or if dan patrick comes into town. NOW WHY DIDN'T THEY SAY THIS BEFORE? now they're threatening or pretending whatever that they might not be able to get us tickets or what not. and told my sister that she (actually, me) shouldn't have turn down the tickets. FIRST OF ALL, they TOLD me i had a CHOICE. and that it wouldn't matter. now why do they got their panties all up in a wad?!?! me & julie decided last night that we would take whatever they gave us. i hate people. ever wonder what song was playing on the radio and the dj doesn't say who sang it? click here so you can check what song your fm station was playing at the time. glad the day is almost over. dinner with sara & sandy tonight! song of the day: Luther Vandross - Dance With My Father...so sad...T.T Squirted 4:26 PM by E-J Yi"God is Good!": finley's first sentence after the huge game 5 win. can i get an AMEN??? officially going into obsession mode... this entry will be dallas mavericks only. "other" will come later today...back to MAH BOYZ!! on monday, during shootaround... a reporter asked finley, "do you think you guys will win tuesday night?" finley smirked, "ha. there's always gotta be a stupid question. of course, i think we're going to win. if i didn't think so, i'd stay at home and chill with my family." and boy was he right! here's are some visuals... evan & popeye dress up in suits. dirk wears sweats. :) finley smiles when he's mad. that's scary.
stop yo' poutin'!
san an-CHOKE-io! najera shuts up the crowd of where he went to high school. can u believe that nash made this shot?!?! ew. look at bradley's jeans. but look at popeye's face! looks like he's hungry! =O *ROWR!* doesn't nash look so happy? :D and small...haha.
don nelson high-five-ing the bench. and mark looking happy as a clown. the caption for this pic said that mark looked like a cat who just swallowed a bird. hahaha. he does look evil tho. >) These Mavericks did a lot of remarkable things this season, collectively and individually. But nothing tops what they did on the Spurs' SBC Center court Tuesday night. It was absolutely unbelievable. The Mavericks have a number of shortcomings that even they have admitted to. They don't have great defenders. They don't have much of an inside game or any great post players. They don't rebound very well. But if there is one thing they proved this season, and underscored Tuesday night with an exclamation point at the end, it is that they have something that is intangible. These Mavericks have fortitude. They have heart. They have guts. click here for the rest of the story. not only was last night's game unbelievable, but truly one of the best basketball games i've ever seen. i'll never forget it. and this morning on the radio, when chris arnold (k104) was recapping with such emotion with the other dj's about last night's game...i actually found myself tearing up a little. omg, what's happening to me??? EVERYBODY and i mean, EVERYBODY had the mavericks losing last night. even at the 1/2, barkley and the 3 stooges were talkin' about going on vacation, laughing it up with ruben, and just waiting for "24 minutes till vacation". but van exel & finley said it best... Van Exel said, “that was the ‘we ain't going fishing’ defense.” Finley portrayed his mentality for the game rather simply stating, “I don’t fish.” click here to see who's a stud and a dud! now everybody's scrambling to gush about the mavericks. someone said on the radio that this was a "franchise-turning" game. that the dallas mavericks have proven that they are legit. that their 60-win season wasn't a fluke. that their wins against the trailblazers & kings weren't marked with an asterisk. and if we win tomorrow night? eddie says: ecp---: if we win tomorrow, I think we win game 7 and eddie's usually right. even tho people are saying that they're satisfied with the season if the mavs lose tomorrow night...i dunno if i am. we can win. we can do it! we're supposedly getting tickets for tomorrow's game. they're contacting julie today. and we're going to basically take what they're going give us. hopefully you'll be seeing my ugly mug on tv. the most hilarious quiz!: actually made me lol... ![]() How BLACK are you? Brought to you by the good folks at sacwriters.com. take this quiz my nigga! Squirted 4:38 PM by E-J Yispring mix: it's the "spring" time and i have a whole "mix" of stories to tell. ok that was a lame title... friday @ the pyuns' was spent watching dirk fall and hurt his knee. and our chances are basically over now. T.T who wants to watch the spurs and nets?! ... yeah, i thought so. our last chance is tonight. without dirk. it will take a small miracle. saturday, i literally spent ALL day watching tv. i even made a trip to the video store so i could watch more. i had to catch up. i'm not addicted b/c i haven't watched in a while. i even sent back videos i never saw. what a waste of money. later that night, me & my dad went to seoul garden to eat. when we got there, the table next to us was looking at their menus waiting on a waitress-ahjumah. the waitress-ahjumah came and took our order first. why? b/c the husband was mexican and the lady looked mexican. she got mad, no doubt. so she got up to leave when the waitress-ahjumah came and tried to take their order. the mexican-looking lady exclaims, "hey, i'm Korean too! and i can't even get 2 drinks for my kids? that's so rude!" me & my dad tried not to look, but we couldn't help it. i felt sorry for her & her family. after they got their food, the waitress-ahjumah never went to them again except for the check. when the mexican/korean family was leaving, a big korean family comes in and right away 2 waitresses come to take their order. what's up with that? koreans suck. Church was Church. had some fun with my class kids. seems that i make up fun games to play. one of them: who can kick their shoe the farthest. haha. they want to play this ALL THE TIME now. for dinner, we went to the pangs' new home. so nice and pretty! :) and GRRRRRRRRRRReat food! hamburgers, hotdogs, french fries, macaroni salad, and BRISKET! whoo hoo! good eatin' and good fun until the mavs lost again. aish. monday (NO WORK!! YES!!) was again, spent watching a korean movie. it had kwon sang woo and kim han eul. it was funny and cute, but i was disappointed at the end. what's a movie with no kiss scene? bah! >.< went to go see "matrix 2". what's up with kids these days? some (indian) girl who looks like she's in 6th grade sits one seat away from me... girl: can i borrow your cell phone? me: [puzzled and suprised] w-what? girl: i need to make a phone call. me: ["crap!" what excuse...] oh sorry, i don't have enough minutes. whew!! but then that girl just sits there. so for like 5 minutes, it was just really awkward. i thought about calling a friend to make her mad, but decided not to mess with the lil kid. that's just weird!! movie was pretty good. toooooo much dialogue. even though i actually understood most of it, i tried to keep myself from yawning when keanu "whoa" reeves was talking in the room with a bunch of tv's. jada looked pretty! the dancing scene was pointless. had to rush home b/c won accidently drank coke instead of diet coke. my heart was beating like crazy. watched "the horse whisperer" on tv last night. first of all, i HATE horses. i don't get girls who put up posters of horses on their walls. horses are ugly. yeah, i rode a horse once. boring & stinky. anyways, i really didn't pay attention to the movie much but i had it on b/c i just wanted to watch something that my dad wouldn't change the channel for. kristen scott thomas started making googly eyes at robert redford so i knew they were going to hook up. she's like julie andrews in a way. anyways, in the end, i found myself actually CRYING b/c 1) the girl got to ride her dumb horse and 2) robert redford and kristen scott thomas loved each other, but couldn't be with each other. (sorry if i spoiled it, but i don't see anybody rushing out to go rent this.) then i laughed out loud thinking, "WHY THE HECK AM I CRYING AT THIS STUPID MOVIE?" how pathetic am i. now i'm back at this sorry job with my left thumb muscle hurting like crazy. it's like i got carpal tunnel in the wrong hand. it hurts to even type. >.< this rude dude calls in this morning... rude dude: what's your zip code? me: [for security purposes, i ALWAYS have to ask WHO and WHAT company] who am i speaking with? rude dude: i just need to know what's your zip code is. me: sir, i need to know who you are and what company you are with before i can give that out. rude dude: my name is ______________. me: what company are you with? rude dude: just give me the zip code! me: i'm sorry sir... rude dude: i'm with _______________!!!! me: okay, it's 75062. rude dude: GEEZ. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. IT'S NOT THAT HARD. me: yes, sir, i... rude dude: *click* HEY!!! I'M THE ONE WHO HANGS UP ON YOU! >O YEAH, IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE JERK! ALL YOU HAD TO DO IS ANSWER MY QUESTION! as nick van exel would say, "F'EM! F'EM! F'EM!" i really, REALLY hate this job. i applied (for kicks) for this job with the LA Clippers. my resume alone has gotten me to the 2nd round. i B.S.ed some answers that were due today. let's see how far my B.(e)S.say can get me through. i've basically made up my mind to go to korea for a year. sucky thing is; haven't been able to get a job. but my luck just might be changing with a friend of mine leaving korea. the job will be 45 minutes away from where i live, but o well, not like i don't do that everyday. pray for me that this one will work out.
cute, huh? lisa ling & yao ming. song of the day: beyonce (feat jay-z) - crazy for you...b/c jay-z raps about Van Exel in this! (^.^)v Squirted 10:46 AM by E-J Yi
