butterflies: i have butterflies in my stomach... tonight's game 6. scary/exciting. there is a great chance that the kings will win today. but there is also a good chance that the mavs can pull it out, too. and i wouldn't even be able to tell by halftime b/c of the way the mavericks play. it will come down to the 4th quarter. if the kings are up 20 going into the 4th, then i'll think it will be a loss. anything less than that will be close. this will be the 2nd time the mavericks (if they pull it out) get to the western conference finals. ever. if the mavs lose today, i hope it isn't a blowout, but i close one. i know the kings will come out fighting, but as everybody has seen, the mavs don't give up. 9:30. don't call my cell. thanks. i'm leaving for austin today! yipee!! at 2:30. getting off work early. hehe. i'm really happy. i can't wait to see ann, sean, sara, and many more. 2 graduations tomorrow. hope time flies!! ok, what da freak: everybody STOP! let me tell you what burns me: my job. what are my job duties? part-web & database content admin and part-receptionist. there is no "United Way cmomittee member" written in there, right? well, i'll be darn b/c that's freakin' what this United Way committee leader is having me do her dirty work. i had to find out as many irving addresses (i only found 60-something), retyped HER letter, and now she wants ME to send them out. what da freak? totally sux. this isn't part of my job description and i don't appreciate being dumped "outside the job" activities. sure, it's for a good cause, but that doesn't mean you get someone who has nothing to do with it, forced into submission. argh. can't wait to leave today. screw this job. i'm going to be in a good mood...i'm going to be in a good mood... song of the day: jin da mc - gimmick...can't wait till his album comes out!! do you believe in magic?: i do! the magic of the DALLAS MAVERICKS!!! [record screech] ok, now i got 5 "yes" votes. thanks alot people!! =P ya'll suck. now getting to my "obsession"... i really thought by halftime that it was over. that we wouldn't be able to catch up. but then all of a sudden, we came out of the 1/2 as a new team. it was astounding. queens shot 3 of 25?!?! that's just mind-boggling! and (admittedly, not our strong point) b/c of our DEFENSE?!?! it was fantastic. everybody was steppin' up. the highlight was raja's dunk at the end. it was a great game and it really got me in a great mood. :D i'm really hoping that they close things out tomorrow, but i'm not holding my breath b/c i know they can come back. and if so, my sister and steve want to go to game 7 on saturday. i'm scared to go. i don't want to see defeat, if it happens, in person. i'm superstitious in these kinds of things when i know i have no control over it. mavs have won (against the kings) when i'm not there. and i don't wanna go again. plus the traffic and the screaming. oh! the screaming! =O we'll see what happens. gonna be watching the mavs down in austin. the fantastic four (dirk, steve, mike, nick) and the rest of our wonderful bench, don't let me down!!! here are some visuals from last night's game...
whoa. a rare emphatic show of emotion from steve. cool. i'm peeling. on my face. >.< this is not good. my arms are fine, but gosh darn it. i'm going down to austin tomorrow and i'm really excited!! i get to see my ann~!! get to catch the game down there in HOSTILE territory and celebrate graduations with friends. so if i don't update for a few days, then you'll know why. ;) song of the day: jang nara - friend (^.^)v Squirted 12:13 PM by E-J YiTuesday, May 13, 2003
rock the vote!: new poll on the left. read on to see why... yesterday my dad brought up the conversation of "what-does-julie-want-as-a-graduation-gift"? ahh. the $10,000 question. maybe even $1,000,000. and boy, oh boy, it is a doozy! my sister simply replied, "cable or mavericks season tickets". sounded fine with me. with my dad, oh no no no. he continued to say how "obsessed" me & julie were with the mavericks. i don't think i am. please vote, honestly, to tell me if i am dellusional or not. needless to say, my dad's going to think about that. on the other hand, the probably most important game of the season is tonight. if we win, we have a great chance to win. if we lose, it's over. and nobody knows what's going to happen tonight. i'm glad it's an early game. 6pm central. will be enjoying a great steak while watching. yum! *on my soapbox*: my foto album has been updated. look in "joel & carolyn" and "hanuri church". my dad said he was "impressed" that i took lots of good pics, ifidosaysomyself. =) he said it was hard to get all 25 pictures to turn out well even when you're trying hard. i wasn't trying hard. i was actually afraid alot of them would be blurry b/c i took them so fast. **note: it doesn't look as good as the real copy b/c of the quality of the scanner.** but either the camera shoots really well or i'm just GOOD. ok, it's the camera. OR IS IT? actually i want a digital camera b/c it will really show whether or not it's me or the camera. anyways, check 'em out! today i got to do something cool. ok, not cool, but i was glad to do it. i had to go out and get lunch for some visitors who were in a meeting. i was glad to get out of here for a short break. and dang, irving is GHETTO. i went to the sub place to pick up the order and dang, it was like trailer park community. i looked around and walked fast. >.< song of the day: 2pac - hail mary...i just heard on the k104. i forgot most of the lyrics, but it was a freakin' blast from the past. i wrote to mark cuban today: Hi Mr. Cuban, I can't believe this joker! espn page2 article An excerpt: "That is unacceptable rudeness. Bell is a knee-crawling, back-stabbing punk with the soul of a Rat and the heart of a filthy virus. The NBA should have him committed to a state Mental Hospital, and locked down with restraints until he gets his entire body dyed bright yellow, which will stay on his skin forever. " What did Bell do to deserve so much hatred from this guy? Unbelievable. We all know that Bell is a great guy and would never do this intentionally. Can't believe there are people out there who can slander someone so viciously without knowing the real Raja. Thanks for taking the time my email. Sincerely, Joyce Park and i got a response! he is all show... he tries to get people fired up in between shots of jack daniels no worries, we love raja thanks ! m what a great owner. i hate this writer!!! >O Squirted 5:17 PM by E-J Yifun, Fun, FUN!: describing my weekend days, respectively... fun: we had Bible study sans studying the Bible on friday. julie met up with friends and eddie had an emergency @ work so the rest of us (4 of us, me included) got together @ the pyuns for some pizza & "harry potter 2". i had a great time! :) i especially love the pizza part!! :D brooklyn's pizza. THE best pizza (besides the frozen totino's, of course). it has lots of sauce, little cheese and tastes OH SOOO GOOD!! harry potter was okay. i guess i was expecting much. thought it was a lil scary. i absolutely hated the spiders part. >.< Fun: saturday i spent most of the day at home just resting and watching tv. and then came saturday night. who knew that i was going to be watching a future-ESPN classic game?!?! i thought thursday night's win was amazing, but saturday night TOPPED it off. a thrilling double OT victory!! and thank goodness we taped the whole thing!! it was THE best game ever!! it could have been anybody's game, but thank goodness we came out on top. and of course, i gotta post up a pic:
after thursday's loss, the kings said, "we won't let nick (van exel) get a 36-pt game again". oh really? nick came up big with 40 pts!! haha. wonderful. i could almost taste victory when... FUN: yesterday was the annual Hanuri Church picnic. i usually hate going b/c it's at lewisville lake which is always humid. but to my pleasant surprise, it was wonderfully cool and sunny! i was having a hard time with the unbelievably misbehaved kids until jimmy came over with the rented boat. and that's when things turned around. i think yesterday was the second time i've ever been on a boat. maybe even the first time. and it was SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!!! i sat in the front of the boat and just leaned back and enjoyed the high speed and sunshine. and it was also so much fun watching some of the youth guys/girls tubing in the back. i took lots of pictures and will post up this week (hopefully). :) but it was super-fun. and then, as always, we played games. there was a tug-of-war contest between the children's kids: boys vs. girls. i haven't done a tug-of-war in a LONG time. and my body paid for it DEARLY!! there were like 2x as many girls as boys so they asked the teachers (me, my sister, dajin, etc) to join in the girls. there were still about 10 more boys on their side. but since we were "bigger", they called it even enough. 2 out of 3 wins. 1st round: omg, it was HARD!! who knew these lil boys were actually strong?!?! they're spoiled and chubby as ever, but they sho got a grip! they were beating us at first, but the girls kept screaming (high-pitched) and we won the first round. omg, i thought the skin off my hands was going to fall off. then DING DING DING! second round! we got a good start (with parents screaming "EUSHA! EUSHA!"), however, the boys got stronger and won the 2nd round. FINAL ROUND! with all the Church people looking on. us girls had to win, right?? hehe. there was a lot of tugging beforehand that the older men had to step on the rope to keep it from moving. it was me & julie, a teen, and a bunch of 3-4th grade girls with a couple of 1st graders and 6th graders to boot. the guys? lots of 1st and 2nd graders and lots of 5th and 6th graders. "READY? 3, 2, 1 PULL!!" girls started SCREAMING!! boys' faces were cringing. "EUSHA! EUSHA!" screamed the adults. SCREAMS!! CRINGES!! the rope was going back and forth!! i was slowly being dragged forwards. then one of the older men came over and helped us pull. (i didn't want him to, but i couldn't stop him.) but he let go anyways, and us girls kept pulling. and pulling! and PULLING!! and we won!! and then a freakin' high-pitched chorus of screams rang out! the girls had won and all the lil boys walked away with their heads hanging. totally fun!! hehe. ;D i came home exhausted and took probably an hour nap. woke up to eat dinner and then headed over to the pyuns' to watch the mavs game. i didn't notice it when i was at the picnic, but dang, i got a farmer's tan and my face got a lil burned. but my arms!! blushed by the sun. had to put on some noxema and some aloe spray that linda supplied. the mavs weren't doing so hot (hey, it was less than 21 hours after they just played), but yeah, kings were on the ball and they won. oh well. game 5 is on tuesday and we gotta win that. and omg, game 6 will be on thursday!! imma be in austin for that so uh yeah, tony, i'm coming over to scream in yo' face!! :O ok, i have a headache from getting about 4 hours of sleep. and my body is sore like no other. i think i pulled a lower back muscle. i hate mondays. i hate work. but i had a great weekend!!
