dumps in dallas: yesterday was a bad day for people in dallas...especially me...

stars lost in 5OT (!!!) to the ducks. the game clocked in at 5:52. what da heck??? that's just awful. i know the stars fought until the end, but could it be the ducks surging momentum for real? i hope now. modano, please give us a hat trick!

ok, i'm in a bad mood now. one of my dumb-arse co-workers comes over and knocks a bunch of empty routers all over the floor, comes back and says, "i guess there's too many of them." SCREW THIS. I HATE THIS PLACE. WHAT A JERK.

i watched the dixie chicks' interview last night. i don't like country music so i guess it doesn't really matter to me whether or not they are losing album sales or concert tickets, which they're not. although i don't agree with natalie maines comment about being "ashamed", i don't get how the american public can totally trash them and not other anti-prez people. if you're going to boycott the chicks, then boycott everybody who feels the same way. death threats? that's just stupid. the interview didn't change my mind about them, but i did learn about their personalities a bit. i guess natalie is a rebellious-type who questions authority (i.e. how she said when her dad told her to stop playing the piano, she'd look at him and play just one more note) so we shouldn't be surprised that she said that. she just messed with the wrong state. if W & the dc were from idaho and she said she was ashamed of him, i don't think idaho residents would have gotten their panties in a wad like texans. texans just have so much pride that sometimes it makes them do weird things. oh well. this news story is getting old. just let them live on with their lives.

one of my other co-workers got his house broken into or atleast the robbers tried to. luckily, a neighbor had been watching and went up to them and questioned them. when the neighbor went inside to get something to write with, they hurried to take off, but not fast enough, but she got all their description and car info down. the door got messed up, but they didn't get inside. scary, but lucky, huh?

chris simms comes in at #46 on the espn top 75 draft players for tomorrow's nfl draft (but not in any order). larry johnson #34 from penn state is good-looking!

good news for me: kelly clarkson got #1 this week with her new album. doubt it will last longer than that. here's some eye candy for ya...

i love that pic! she looks so cute. ^ ^

and now for the downer: to the surprise of no one, my dad wasn't down with the idea of me going to korea. i'm not going to get into much detail, but it basically came down to: "if you want to go, then go, it's your life." i try to make my parents happy and proud of me, but some things i just have to do for myself. if i go, i'll be disappointing somebody. if i don't go, i'll be disappointing myself. i value my family and friends' opinions, but ultimately, it comes down to: "is this the right thing? is this what God wants me to be doing? should i being doing this?" my answers: yes, maybe, maybe. i think my dad's main concern is that he thinks i'll be wasting my time. wasting time? the time i spend there will be time spent wisely on learning about me, life, and korea. and i don't think there's a book, dvd, or teacher (for that matter) that teaches better about all that than experience.

distractions: lakers lost at home? oh yeah! mavs look to get a win @ portland tonight. GO MAVS!

lunch with grace & young today. yay for fridays.

song of the day: dixie chicks (the remake) /fleetwood mac (the original) - landslide...they kept playing this over & over last night that "i can't get it outta my head". haha.

WATCH THIS!: freakin' awesome. (this is kinda old, i know, but there's some people who still haven't seen it...

have a good day.

give me 2 perrs...i need 2 perrs: so i? can get stompin' in my ARR FORCE ONES!

last night's mavericks game was freakin' awesome!! okay, so nash DID have his foot on the line (and so did dirk on an earlier 3), but it don't matter b/c the mavericks still would have won if it was called a 2-pter. maybe it would have shifted the blazers' momentum and maybe bonzi wells would have made another basket...maybe I DON'T THINK SO!! it's over and we're up 2-0. if you go here, click on the "PHOTOS" tab right next to the black & gray "ESPN" graphic, click on photo #6, you'll see john kim from ghc there. haha. lucky. gotta tell sara! :) anyways, najera & nick came up big while raef & bradley amounted to nothing. geez. please SOMEBODY has to block shots.

tonight's the big night. i'm going to have a "talk" with my dad about a move in my life. he seems to be in an okay mood so i'm hoping it will carry over to tonight. although the timing isn't really in my favor right now, i just hope that he'll have a change of heart. i have to do this for myself. pray for me.

back to bball...i think iverson's such a cutie. sure, he's a gangsta (haha), but he's an incredible baller. most asian, female bball fans think he's hot. i just think he's amazing that he's not even 6', but he plays big.

i have ordered my 2 dvds and the dude says i add 1 for free. cool! so i'm sending in my $4 to get "lord of the rings 2", "minority report", and "shrek". yay.

ok, i seemed to have run out of topics. i'll stop now.

song of the day: nelly - air force ones (^.^)v

happy administrative professionals week!: like i didn't even know this "week" existed. but to my surprise, my immediate boss, not THE boss, got me a vase of 3 yellow roses. pretty! zilch from the big man.

minnesota won yesterday...upset the defending stanley cup champs. i don't really care (b/c STARS are going to win anyway), but richard park (#18) was in this picture featured on the front page of espn. cool.

yesterday as i was driving to my parents' shop i saw a rainbow. a sign? i hope so! :)

i like cars. if i could do this for a fun job, i'd be a valet person. i need to learn to drive stick (better), but i think it's very fun. i don't know enough car knowledge to say that i LOVE cars, but i think i know enough cars (makes and models) more than some girls. i'm not materialistic, but it does bother me when i see guys drive certain cars. so without further ado, here are my lists of "no-no's" of cars guys drive:

"i guess you could drive this, but you gotta give up your man card" cars:

audi TT
vw jetta
vw bug
vw passat (ok, ANYTHING vw)
chrysler sebring
ford focus
toyota corolla
honda crv
toyota rav4
mazda miata
acura rsx
mitsubishi eclipse (bah, let's make it all mitsubishis)
honda civic (any model)*

*why civics? cuz they're small & stylish, just like girls. guys drive accords.

cars that nobody should be caught dead in:

pontiac
gmc
chrysler
hyundai

anything else (besides the outdated) are ok. unless YOU can think of something else!

some guy is selling dvd's for a $1 over the internet. i'm going to order a couple to see if it's legit. if it is, i'll let you guys know. yes, i'm sacrificing my HARD-EARNED cash to be ya'lls guinea pig.

mavericks/blazers, game 2 tonight! it's supposed to hail. that's ok b/c we're supposed to win. :)

PARK place: hehe...hanna said that hockey players were the best-looking athletes...i'm being to wonder...

korean-american hockey player, richard park, scores the game-winning, overtime goal for the minnesota wild to stay the in the hockey playoff race. i watched the streaming video here and got *chills* watching it. i'm not a big hockey fan, but he's pretty hot. and of course, good plays make guys look even hotter. actually, i hate saying "hot" so i'll stop. he's pretty good-looking. some eye-candy...

kind of looks flip. almost like peter yoon except darker. anyways, he's not as "hot" or whatever as i thought he originally looked. but, guys, if you're athletic, it's a big +.

ok, i just read he's married to a woman name devyn and has a son named presten. yeah, i'm over him now. but good for him, anyway.

i think laci peterson's husband needs to be executed. he's not human. *warning, graphic sentences ahead*: police are saying that he probably wrapped something heavy around her neck when he threw her into the water so it would weigh her body down; thus her body wouldn't ever be found. unfortunately for him, the headless body re-surfaced. and he got caught, to me red-handed trying to flee the country. he gets stopped in san diego with newly dyed hair, grown goatee & mustache, slimmer and $10,000 in cash. awful. just awful.

today on the radio, kidd kraddick brought up an interesting topic: which do guys prefer? face or body? in some survey, it was 69% (dunno if that's a sign, jk!) face. guys would rather have a pretty face with a not-so-hot body rather than a busted face with a booming bod. where do i fit in? uh, neither one. HAHA.

yesterday i had taco bueno for the first time since 12th grade. and it was GOOOOOOD!!!! i ordered what i thought was the chicken taco salad, but ended up being something else along with cheese nachos. the taco salad, i didn't eat much, but the nacho (not-yo) cheese was so good and so was their salsa! i must go there again!

i was bored so i just took this talent test to see what my true talent is. here's the results:

Joyce, your true talent is numerical ability. Whether you like numbers or not, you're much better with them than others. Your results indicate that you're not only good at calculations, but that you also understand how to use numbers to your advantage.

People like you typically manage their personal finances with ease. It's doubtful that balancing your checkbook is an all-day affair like it can be for some people. In the work world, your numeric skill can be a benefit in a variety of ways, as well. You might find that you're a whiz at data analysis or are especially sharp when looking at budgets and profit-and-loss statements. Because so many other people have trouble understanding numbers and figures, you really have an opportunity to shine and use this talent to your advantage.

i guess this would help me in becoming a math teacher. it was like an iq test. take it for fun! :D (ok, i sound really pathetic...)

[while i'm waiting on my test results...] joyce, did you know that you're 8,586 days old? did you know you're 1,226 weeks old? ok, thanks.

parenting style?

You offer your children a lot of freedom and independence. Research shows that your parenting style yields strong-willed, capable, and independent children. But without the proper checks on your parenting style, your children are more likely than others to under-achieve in academics and display impulsive behavior.

Don't unknowingly handicap your child's chances of achievement and development as a person. Find out how you can prevent behavior you don't want to see in your kids while encouraging the traits you want your kids to develop.

uh-oh. better work on that.

okie, seems like enough reading for now.

sprinkling of news: many ups and downs this weekend...

starting off with an incredibly sad note: steven pak passed away friday morning. =***( he was the only son, had a fiancee, was only 30, and from what we know, a born-again Christian. we'd hate to damper things with speculation, but how does a patient die within 2 months of diagnosis? it seems like something's wrong here...=\

on a brighter note, saturday was the all-important 1st playoff game against the trailblazers and grace's man, DIRK came through...oh, did he BRRRING IT!!

he lays 46 pts on them and finally finley comes through. it was fun and LOUD!! :) hope to go to another one soon...even if it is nose-bleed!

Easter Sunday was very fun! i helped hide the easter eggs and that was alot of fun. what was amazing was seeing all the kids freakin' pick up ALL of them in like less than 2 minutes. i'm not kidding. we had about 600 eggs for like 50 kids. crazyness.

after that, i met up with good ole steve & daniel from wacKo (baylor). we were watching the movie, "better luck tomorrow". here are some images:

i dunno why, but i'm strangely attracted to the (above pictured) actor, sung kang who plays han. i don't think he's particularly good-looking, but he's muh shi ssuh (charismatic). too much smoking tho. to sum things up without giving things away: stylish. funny. sex. drugs. somewhat violent. full-frontal nudity. not for the faint of heart. i still have the images floating around in my head. >.<

i'm not in a particularly good mood right now. one of my friends is not being very nice.

song of the day: 50 cent - in da club...i KNOW this is overplayed, but it was really cute to see this one trailblazer dance to this song right before the game. haha. (^.^)v
