fun friday!: b/c i'm in such a good mood (b/c it's FRIDAY, of course!) i'm going to post up alot of pics today...hope you enjoy the eye candy!

but first...the friday five...

1. What was the first band you saw in concert?

BACKSTREET BOYS!! it was freakin' awesome. i never screamed so much in my life and my voice was gone after the concert. :)

2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?

Backstreet Boys is my favorite overall. but i love finkl, 1tym, shinhwa, god...those korean pop machines.

3. What's your favorite song?

this is nearly impossible for me to answer.

4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?

of course, the drums. :)

5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?

i'd love to meet lee hyori [pics below] from finkl. she's beautiful, funny, and cool. and she's my age. maybe we'd get along. haha.

and now for some eye candy...

here's pics of boa, 16 yr old korean pop sensation. sooo pretty & talented!

if i could look like anybody, i'd either look like boa or hyori...hyori's got style and has a good body. but i heard she's a huge slut. oh well. not like i'm going to MEET her.

and now for some eye candy for the girls...

jang hyuk: very charismatic, huh?

kwon sang woo: he's sooo cute! (but maybe this isn't a great pic...

go su: he has huge eyes. and he's very nice.

hands down (probably), THE most popular guy in korea right now. won bin. i liked him better when he wasn't so girly looking.

hope you enjoyed my hard work! have a great weekend. homeless outreach & mavs game tomorrow!

down in dallas: what a bad night for dallas sports...

rangers lost. big surprise there.

mavericks lost. didn't expect the blow out that we got. penny hardaway (who's still lookin' good) gets a triple-double?!?! mavs know how to make sucky players come out and play out of their minds. i'm expecting them to not make the finals. i'm being realistic now. they need a center and raef & shawn don't count.

stars lost.

i haven't shown them much love, but everybody knows what a hottie mike modano is. i think stars have a great chance of winning the stanley cup. julie wants to go to one of their games, but they're dang expensive. we saw alot of empty seats in the crowd last night. hopefully, they'll win the series against edmonton. (or however u spell it.)

dang, this morning was horrible. and it wasn't b/c of work this time. out of the 23 years i've been living on this earth, i've never, EVER been in so much pain. and i have a high tolerance for pain. i was seriously thinking of going home. why you ask? this is going to sound gross, but my stomache hurt SOOOOOO badly this morning. i could barely walk. yes, i had to go #2 to get rid of the pain, but since i'm at work, i can't just go in the bathroom on my floor. not with the condition i was in this morning. i had to go downstairs. and usually if i am feeling some pains down there, i can wait it out for a couple of hours. not this time. i was doubling over in pain, trying to smile & say "good morning" to those who walked by, but i couldn't. i almost wept. it would hurt excrutiatingly (sp?) for like 15 minutes and then stop for like a minute. so i had to wait until the pain went away and run downstairs during that 1 minute of heaven. finally i got that minute and BOLTED to the 1st floor restroom. i could get very graphic here...i even thought of a hilarious phrase to describe what was going on, but for the sake of my audience, i will refrain. but if you wanna know, ask me. ;) jk. anyways, i stayed in the bathroom for a good 20 minutes. not kidding. and if they fire me for taking that long, fine with me. i know that if i didn't go, i'd die. literally.

such a small world we live in. it's like 6 degrees of separation with xanga/blog links. duke knows patrick who knows ann. ann knows patrick who knows duke. it's a small world after all!

i applied for a job in houston with the rockets. and i didn't get it. no, i'm not a traitor. i wanted to work for any nba team, but the mavs weren't hiring and the rockets were. since they were in texas and had yao ming, i decided it would have been ok. i'd be the only mavs fan in there, but i thought it would be fun. unfortunately, they didn't see my way. oh well. =]

where is the line drawn between your friends and your bf/gf? even tho it might sound contradictory, i believe in 'bros before hoes'. if you're a guy, and u and this guy both like the same girl, do you still pursue the girl even tho it hurts your friendship? no. i haven't never seen an instance where a friendship stays the same after one guy gets the girl and the guys remain close friends. is any girl worth it? there will always be leftover feelings. things will never be the same. and more than likely, the girl will only be temporary. it's rare to see a couple to work out (married) after a friendship breaks up. from the movies i've seen, i haven't seen this scenario even acted out. maybe i haven't seen enough movies. anyways, i hope you know what you're doing. bah, he doesn't even read this. =P

although i'm trying to eat healthier, some of my pants are still tight around my tummy. so tight, in fact, that the button/buckle near my belly button pushes on my stomache when i'm sitting down (like right now). ouchie. i'm afraid my belly button is going to expand. you DO know it can still get bigger? O_O

almost the weekend. yesssssssssss~

chris simms interview: hey ann...chris on the radio and i typed up as fast and as much as i could during the interview...

q: how are you feeling about the upcoming draft?
c: i'm extremely excited for that day to get here. the anxiety is killing me. you dream about the upcoming season with your team, but now i got no team [to dream with] so it's hard.

q: do you read everything about what is said about you?
c: no, i don't read everything, i hear everything about me.

q: do you want to hear the positives and negatives they said about you? (starts listing. too fast for me to type.)
c: 'better than good' arm. streaky. student of the game. average mobility. throws a good short passes. didn't they just the same thing 10 different things? you can't worry about all that. my biggest strength is my arm strength in general. it's the time of year when you'll hear about all your negatives.

q: you have a great deep ball chris. that's what i thought was your strength in the senior bowl. i wonder why they didn't mention that?
c: i thought so, too. i don't know why that's from salisbury steak, right there.

q: mel kiper (nfl draft expert) doesn't have you in the 1st round. how do you feel about that?
c: mel kiper wouldn't be in MY first round of draft analysts.

q: (everybody laughing) let's play that back to mel kiper. and you just dropped out of the 2nd round. what are you going to do on draft day? are you going to have a party?
c: i'm not sure yet, but i'll just stay by the house with my family & friends and just watch the tv like i do every year.

q: will you have a camera there?
c: i don't plan to have a camera there. it's my dream and i would like it private with my family.

q: how hard is it not knowing who's going to draft you?
c: it's hard [because] you think that a team is interested is you, but they're not. it's like the CIA and alot of poker faces and they don't wanna show the other teams what they're thinking and what they like, i just don't know what's going to happen.

q: good luck chris. we'll be watching and will contact you in ny.
c: good talking to you guys. (hangs up)

"chris is just fun and loves to to throw a jab back." - dan patrick

they really do love him. hope this was interesting! i think i got a hand cramp. haha. jk.

@#$^$&^%*: that's the only way to describe my mood from last night...

i didn't think we would win. i hoped, but i knew we wouldn't. i never thought i'd say this, but raef did a great job. dirk and steve? they SUCKED. maybe they're not gettin' any. i'm not kidding. there's no way 2 all-stars are off on the same night. i'm convinced that they aren't gettin' any love at home. no wonder. what groupie would want them right now? anyways, we're screwed if we play the lakers in the 1st round. this saturday playoff tix are going on sale. i can either go stand in line 7am saturday morning and get tix from their lottery system or just wait until noon when the seats are released to the public. right now i'm going for the latter, but if they play well this week, maybe i'll change my mind. maybe.

let me clarify the "blogs i read whether i know them or not": the only person on that list i don't know is that girl named rosie. but she's freakin' hilarious so i gotta put that up there. a lil graphic, but she always makes me laugh.

i'm really looking forward to next tuesday. why? cuz i'm headin' over to best buy to get kelly clarkson's cd AND the DRUMLINE dvd!! how exciting!!! i'm getting 2 things for discounted prices on the same day! (go to best buy on the release date of anything and it will be cheaper than advertised. always.) so i'm excited about that. :)

i think i lost a lil weight. maybe a pound or two. i fit better in my pants. i exercised for an hour yesterday while watching the game last night. my legs felt like jello afterwards, but i felt good. can't say i felt the same after the game was over, tho.

last night while eating dinner, my parents and i watched that korean drama, "the little mermaid". it made me cry again last night. this couple wants to get married, but of course like any other korean drama, both sides of parents are against it. however, the guy is a momma's boy which makes things worse. the scene that made me shudder and cry was when the momma's boy momma (haha) invited his fiancee over to dinner at their house. they (the couple) thought things were going well, but the momma calmly told her to break off the engagement. but the girl refused. then the momma was like, "take off your engagement ring before things get worse". the girl refused b/c her bf told her not to give up. the momma tells her son, "you take off your ring then if she won't". he refuses to her disgust. then she slaps him. HARD. but he still doesn't take it off. so the momma turns to the girl, "if you don't want me to hit him again, take off your ring!" the girl refused b/c her fiancee told her to. he gets slapped again even harder. she starts crying. neither one takes off their rings. the momma slaps her son AGAIN. finally the girl couldn't take it anymore and takes off the ring and bolts out the door sobbing in pain. it totally shocked me and made me so sad. of course, it's just a drama and everything, but that's a sad story, don't you think? just imagine if that happened in real life. terrible. and unlike american tv/movies, korean actors don't do the fake slapping. the actors really hit each other. it's crazy, but it has a greater impact on the audience. i missed last week's video where there was a catfight. but i'll watch it this week. and they called this a family drama...

omg! kristen holt made it to stuff magazine! dang. she ain't that pretty, but i guess she's ok. plano girl went from planoette>dallas cowboys cheerleader>american idol contestant>american idol top 30>american idol 2 correspondent>stuff girl. whoa.

i go through stages where i get sick of korean music. mostly when it sucks. and it does now. so i'm listening to all american songs. they have so much more staying power for me. even the ones that are a few years old. backstreet boys are ALWAYS good. :)

melo drama: dang, carmelo anthony is talented. too bad for kansas...

interesting game, tho. i thought it was exciting. me & julie were whoopin' & yellin'. kansas lost b/c of their free throws. that was horrible. ok, not totally b/c of their ft's, but it was a big factor.

it's chilly today outside. i'm wearing my new pants. :) they fit perfectly.

i read an article on reuters saying that females who are glued to the tv are more like to gain weight and develop type 2 diabetes.

on another note, mavs play the lakers today. i'm going to be GLUED to the tv tonight. O_O

this game is crucial. we have to win it to keep san antonio off our butts and prove that we can "BEAT LA!" atleast the rest of the games are on regular tv so no missing games b/c of cable!! :D

sam & co left last night for russia. i hope they got there safely.

the other day, me & my mom went to sears to look for elliptical trainers. right when we got inside, my mom heads to the optical center to get her glasses adjusted. she has those fobby glasses that have no frame and are blue-tinted. anyways, here's how it went down:

mom: can you do me a favor? can you adjust these for me? they are slipping off my face.
female optometrist: sure, he'll do it for u. (points to the head opt who has 2 hearing aids.)
male opt: sure. (takes my mom's glasses from her)

he adjusts one side. then all of a sudden he says: (to the female opt.)

male opt: you know? i cracked a pair of glasses like this when i was adjusting them b/c i was only paying attention to the rubber part of these [pliers] and not where i was adjusting it.

at this point i was like, why is he saying this infront of us??

then he adjusts the other side.

*crack*

i froze. but i wasn't sure if it was just the sound of the pliers or not. so i didn't say anything.

male opt: well, here ya go.
mom: oh thank you! (puts on her glasses)

i look at her glasses. i can see a crack streaking across her left lens.

me: umma look! it's cracked!
mom: uh muh muh. ("oh no" in korean) uh tok keh! ("what am i going to do?" in korean)

the guy just looks blankly and says, "o no". (in english. haha.)

female opt: okay, from now on, we don't fix anybody's glasses except for ours.

freakin' he breaks them and he doesn't say sorry! and then he's over here trying to give us SEARS brand glasses. my mom was sooo sad. i told her to calm down. the guy says that he'll have to talk to the lab and see whether or not they can do the same lenses as my mom's and her frames (cuz they didn't have those either.) THEN he goes:

male opt: yeah, and i'll have to see how much everything will cost and...
me: (interrupting) uh, cost? we're not paying for anything...
male opt: (looks at me blankly) what?
me: (trying to stay calm) we. have. no. responsibility. in. this. you're. the. one. who. broke. them.
male opt: ok. i'm trying to be nice, but i can't make a statement until i talk to the lab.
me: that's. fine. but. we're. not. paying. for. anything.
male opt: yeah, but it is not our policy to fix anybody else's glasses.
me: (slightly raising my voice) you. didn't. tell. us. that. if. you. told. us. that. we. wouldn't. have. asked. u. to. fix. them.
male opt: ...
me: (glaring at him) ...
male opt: ok, i'll contact you on monday. sorry.
mom: sorry too.

after we left that dept, i was like, "UMMA WHY DID YOU SAY SORRY?!?! WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!! DON'T SAY 'I'M SORRY'!!! DON'T SAY THAT IF IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!" my mom goes, "i should have not brought them there. that's why i was sorry."

dang. my momma's been living here for more than 25 years and she's still f.o.b.

btw, they're getting her free glasses.

but i love her anyway.

btw, i bought the new now 12 cd. pretty good.

eclectic avenue: lots of random stuff happened over the weekend...

first, baby joel (ok, he's not a baby, but he's MY baby) got sick and so Bible study was cancelled. i think julie caught his stomache virus. i better watch out. so instead, our family had dinner together and just hung out watching tv and sleeping early.

saturday i got up kinda early (10am), ate breakfast, and decided to play some bball in the driveway. i CANNOT do lay-ups. nba players make them look sooo easy. i can't get my ball to curve into the basket. sux. but i'm pretty good at my free throws. my basket is 10' (or so it seems) so it is very difficult. i need to lower the rim. after that me, my dad, and my sister watched tv and happened to turn to the short track speed skating world championships held in poland. first race we saw was with 3 koreans and that good-fo-nothing-cheater, apolo ohno. oh, how revenge is soooo sweet!

hahaha. that's right. follow. you can't lead! some photo finishes...oh-no (hehe) is #155. koreans are in blue & yellow.

koreans dominated the races and both male & female world champions were korean. my dad was so happy. so was i.

then right after, michelle kwan skated in her exhibition skate to "fields of gold" which i've seen her skate a few times. beautiful as always. i swear, i can cry when i see her skate. i dunno why i get so emotional watching her. i had to fight back tears watching her stand on the podium for the national anthem. i wish i could meet her.

then i headed over to stonebriar mall to galyans so i could check out their elliptical machines. i didn't like any of them. or the ones i liked were over $1,000. dang. i need to get in shape fast.

for dinner, me & julie met up david & loretta @ cpk. yum yum! they were in dallas for the mavs game. david is a tmac fan, but then we heard that he wasn't playing b/c he was hurt. then 8 minutes into the 1st qtr, the magic was trailing bad so tmac got in there and played. what a trooper. fortunately for us, he didn't shoot so well so we won! however, the spurs won last night AND took down ben wallace and we HAVE to win tomorrow @ la. i never thought i would say this but, we need finley. anyways, friday night was spent scurred b/c it started hailing like mad and tornado watches/warnings came up like crazy. even our neighborhood tornado warning siren went off and it scurred the crap out of me. i'm so scared of tornadoes even tho i've never been through one. don't plan on it, too. we even videotaped the pea-sized hail. julie said she would give me $5 if i stood outside in the hail for a minute & videotape it, but i'm not that stupid. i thought about it, but i'm not that stupid.

Sunday i had to drive around alot. first i took my 3 scripture whiz girls to sonic for some early morning food. very good. then after Church me, julie, jimmy, and susan went to mickey d's for lunch. while we were eating, we got dark clouds, hail, rain, and then sunshine. WEIRD TEXAS WEATHER! and thus, we both got hail damage on our cars...again. ain't this wonderful?

after Church i met up with my fashionable cousin @ northpark. she was helping me buy makeup since the one i had wasn't good for my skin she said. my cousin is a petite 5', but she stands on 4 or 5 inch heels to make up for it. my parents hate the way she dresses, but to me & my sister, she has a style all her own. she wears these loud outfits and everybody stares as i could see walking around np. i'm over here in my black shirt, jeans, and black flip-flops with a boring ponytail, but she's over here wearing a black v-neck with a white MICRO mini-skirt, huge brown chunky belt, large gold hoop earrings, 5 or maybe even 6 inch sandals, a head wrap around her blonde hair. and yes, she's korean. haha. she's pretty so she can pull that off, but i'm a stark contrast to her. it's really funny. anyways, i ended up buying m.a.c powder foundation which was $20 cheaper than sheisedo! and it covers better. so i was satisfied. then we went perfume shopping for her. now about perfumes...

i think i would want to wear it, but i have 2 hinderances:

1. i'm afraid bees are going to go crazy around me.
2. i dunno what scent to pick

the only perfume i liked is actually cologne for men, ck's eternity. i absolutely love it! but i can't wear that. so for girls, what is good? i want a scent all my own and NO i'm not talkin' about my b.o. haha. jk. my sister wears clinique happy and lots of guys have complimented her on it. it would be nice for a guy to like the scent i was wearing, but i don't like that smell. this co-worker wears ralph lauren romance and it smelled okay, but i dunno, it wasn't awesome. i smelled gucci envy, anna sui, and carolina herrara chic and they were all okay, too, but i probably liked 'chic' the best. oh, and i don't like flowery (?) smells. i wonder what smell is most popular. i like it when guys wear cologne except when it stinks, of course. i think it gives them character and distinguishes them from other guys. i dunno why, but it does. especially when it smells good. ;)

btw, there is a BIRD stuck in our chimney!!! we've had animals stuck in there before, but it would die in a couple of days. but this bird hasn't died yet. and it makes so much noise!! what's up with nature around our house?!?!

ok, thanks for voting on my big "bang" poll. i'm going to put up another one soon.

song of the day: nelly - air force ones...Kyjuan, were you getting dem colors, are you dyin them (^.^)v
