Squirted 12:20 PM by E-J YiSTICK 'EM UP!: have you seen this beer commercial (not sure if budweiser or miller)?? where anthony anderson & mike epps are tellin 'yo mama' jokes and then one guy tries to get all into it and messes up his face by sayin' "STICK 'EM UP!" me & my sister were over at the pyuns' house yesterday and joel (who's 3) saw that commercial and started imitating it. SOOOO funny & cute!! :D we were over at their place to watch the mavs vs lakers game. i was scurred yesterday and i had a good reason. we freakin' lost and now we're only 1 game up on the spurs. dang it. raef did better than i thought defensively except he needs to score. and can't believe nash got a T. you KNOW he was mad cuz he never says anything. i thought nellie getting ejected would have jump-started the mavs on a run, but nope. shaq comes over and slams a big one right after. i really don't want the mavs to play the lakers in the 1st round, but it looks like it's going to happen. i think when we get finley back, we'll be able to close the gap more. but dang, nobody can stop shaq. period. right now i'm eating these new special k cereal bars and they're really good! strawberry-flavored. try it! i've only eaten 2 meals with fried foods this week. i guess i should do that more often, but i just LOVE fried food. it sucks when something so good is so bad, huh? dang, that statement could be interpreted in so many ways...haha. this morning kelly osbourne was interviewed on the radio. she's in dallas for a concert. she seems like a really cool girl. she was funny and really nice. i still want to buy the osbournes dvd, but dunno if it's worth it. mmm...maybe it is. i'll see if i unconsciously drive to best buy which really does happen to me sometimes. i love that store! more personality questions... ugly, no cute, ducklings: maybe some of you are wondering, from my profile, if our family is really going to eat the ducks! well, here's what went down last night... yesterday, julie calls me and tells me that there are 8 ducklings swimming around in the pool. remember my ordeal with the duck a while back? that mama duck had babies. and yes, the ducklings were cute, but i didn't want those ducks swimming around in our pool. 1) they keep me up at night and 2) they poop in the pool. not cool. so i guess my mom had been talking to duke's dad on the phone and suddenly duke's dad goes, "NA JOH!" (meaning, "GIVE IT TO ME!") our whole family was surprised. if you've ever met duke's dad before, (and this isn't meant to be offensive, duke) but we thought duke's dad wasn't the type to like ducklings. instead he's more of a man's man. he was in the military and has guns. and likes hunting. so i was thinking, he's going to raise these ducks and shoot them later. JUST KIDDING. he said he wanted to put the ducklings in the pond that's infront of their house. how nice! :D so duke's parents came over with another guy and they came to take the ducklings away. how'd we do it? first of all, we had to get the mama duck away. so we all yelled and chased her away. then duke's dad got the swimming pool net thingy and swooped up 7 ducklings that had huddled in a corner of the pool. we couldn't find the last one. but luckily julie knew where to find it. earlier that afternoon, we heard the ducklings chirping (or whatever sound that is) like crazy and they were nowhere to be found. julie went outside and found ALL 8 stuck in the swimming pool leaf filter which is easy to get into, nearly impossible to get out. so julie took all of them out. anyways, back to the story. julie found the last duckling in that filter again. so duke's dad and the other guy had put the ducklings in 2 boxes. then the MAMA DUCK CAME BACK~! i was scurred. i'm scurred of that duck. so then we were all like trying to get back into the house, but all of us (me, julie, duke's parents, and the other guy) looking over our shoulders making sure that duck don't go after us. the mama duck started quacking like crazy looking for her babies and it was kinda sad, actually. duke's mom stood out there for a while b/c she felt so sorry for her. i did, at first, but then i remembered how much sleep i WOULDN'T have gotten if it weren't for duke's parents and that guy. so they left and the mama duck waddled around our pool looking for her babies. she even got as close as about 5 feet from our door which never happens. i'm not going outside to the backyard for a LONG time. oh and this morning, that stupid duck woke me up around 5:50. she was quacking away. not like that metronome/car alarm-like quacking, but this was more like QUACK, QUack, Quack, quack...like REALLY LOUD and then soft. i dunno if that was her crying or not, but it was dang annoying. so i beat on my window again really hard and she flew away. but then she came back about 15 minutes later. so i beat on the window once more and she flew just over the fence into another neighbor's yard. she's smart. while i was looking at her, i saw this squirrel running across the top of our fence. i hate squirrels with a passion, but i was bored and wanted to see what it was doing. that stupid thing doesn't keep it's tail still! kept on fluffing it and stuff. and it looked like it was getting ready to jump in our pool. so i banged on the window some more, but it paid no attention. it kept trying to figure out where to jump from, but SUDDENLY out of nowhere, a BLUEJAY SWOOPS down and tries to get it!! i actually said, "OOH!" out loud and had my mouth hanging open like this: =O. but the squirrel was fast and hid underneath a leafy branch. then the squirrel started going towards another branch when the bluejay flew into the same tree!! i was like, "DANG! SCURRY BIRD!" then the squirrel ran up onto our roof and that scurry bluejay tries to get it again! i just stood there with my mouf open. that squirrel was like 2x that bird's body weight. stupid bird. i guess that's where they get the term "bird-brain". speaking of blue jays; they used to be my favorite bird. i dunno why. i guess everybody liked the cardinal (which i hate, too) and those annoying parakeets or whatever, but i liked the blue jay. until i killed one. if you didn't go to my high school, then read on, but if you did, maybe you'd like a refresher... it was early morning, around 6am and i was heading to school in my red ford explorer (i miss it!). i think i had some band thing that morning so i was heading south on independence (b/c i went to that bagel place before hand). as i was driving, rather slowly (about 35 mph), i see this bluejay flying like in slow motion. it was flying like it was drunk. anyways, i don't swerve for animals (well, unless they're cute) and i heard a "THUMP!" and immediately looked in my rear view mirror for the bird, but didn't see anything. i shrugged it off and drove to school and parked in my usual place. car pool lot, first space, facing the school. then i got out of my car and went inside the bandhall and started my day. after school got out, i think it was sean, who asked me for a ride home. as we're walking towards my car we see something stuck in the front grill. i didn't know what the heck it was, but it was blue and white. as we got closer, we see that it's a BLUEJAY stuck between the FORD emblem and the lines of the grill!!! it was sooooo gross!! feathers sticking out everywhere!! i couldn't see it b/c i was so scared. anybody who had walked from A to D buildings could have seen it. i was embarrassed! sean couldn't stop laughing and some of our other friends saw it and started cracking up too calling me a "bird killer". i dunno if it was jesse or whoever, got a stick and pushed it out of the grill and it rolled lifelessly onto the ground underneath my car. me & sean quickly hop into the car and i wanted to get away from that thing asap. but no, that's not the end of it. the next morning, my friend, elisa, comes to school early in her rav4 which has a narrow wheel base and to our dismay (and without knowing, of course), rolls over the dead bluejay while parking into that space. if it weren't dead after it got stuck in my grill, it was sho' dead now. and then even MORE worse (bad grammar, i know), she rolls over it AGAIN when she leaves!! nobody wanted to move it out from behind her tires so i guess she had no choice. anyways, that's the story of the pshs bluejay. funny, huh? or is this one of those, "you-had-to-be-there" stories. oh well. it's funny to me. wow, i've gotten more votes to get bangs now. yesterday, there were more "no" votes. i'll keep it up until the weekend and decide what to do. thanks for voting, ya'll! mavs vs. lakers tonight. puckerage starts now. no finley tonight. BAH! d/l song of the day: nrg - yong suh (pardon). i dunno if i posted this up already, but i love this song. unfortunately, i watched a korean tv show yesterday where one of the guys was singing this song and he was flat. oh well. d/l this anyway! all play and no work!: man, i wish life was like that... *shocking* news to me: that gay guy in farewell, my concubine committed suicide the other day. if you haven't seen FMC, i'll just tell you this: it disturbed me. when i hear/read that title, it brings back many memories. i guess if you watch it now, it wouldn't be a big deal, but i first saw it when i was really little and it totally scarred me. totally creeps me out and stuff. i don't think i could ever watch it again. there's this 1 scene in there where my mom couldn't stop crying when she saw it. so me being the good daughter that i was, i re-enacted the scene for a few days afterwards and she really did cry!! lol. it's freakin' hilarious. below is a pic of the dude who jumped from the 26th story of a hotel:
you know what's funny? on espn they had a poll and here are the results:
3 are from texas? hey, atleast we're getting publicity. and speaking of publicity...isn't mark cuban the greatest? doode, i wish i could have found a pic of del harris. he actually SMILED after he realized the joke. really funny stuff.
atleast we won. if we didn't, i would hope that the scene above would have been real. just kidding. omg. park chan ho sums up how he did in this pic:
he sucked hard. it was too painful to watch. we watched until he left which was during the 3rd inning. that's sad. i still wish him the best tho. yesterday's game reminded me how much i like baseball. i want to go to a rangers game now. i want to go to a stars game too. most of all, i want to go to a cowboys game. i'm going to my mavs game next saturday so i'm excited about that. i love watching sports. geez, i'm a tomboy! also added to the "what-i-don't-like-about-guys": guys who listen to dance music. i dunno, it's like really gay to me. i stumbled across this guy's xanga who's supposedly "a good catch" or whatever and i heard in my headphones this gay dance song. what a turn-off. american idol is so boring now. i dunno why i watched some of it. total waste of time. i'm glad that corey got kicked off, but couldn't this show go any faster? dang. what a beat down. yesterday i was reading "stuff" magazine. have you read this before? it's like "maxim", but more to read. more useless, random stuff. but i have to admit, it's interesting. it's one of my sister's favorite magazines. despite the overly sexualized pics of girls everywhere. there's like so much to read in that magazine that didn't feel like reading those lil captions. that's when you know it has too many lil captions. after a week filled with all this huff & puff about me and my future, it has gone to a standstill right now. i haven't gotten any feedback yet. i'm trying to eat healthier these days. i've only had fried food 2x this week. i usually have it every day. the personal trainer says that i probably messed up my metabolism by waiting too much between meals which starved my body and therefore, jacked it up. so i'm eating lil snacks and smaller meals. that's how jenny unnie lost tons of weight. but she didn't do it on purpose. i am. haha. we'll see how far this goes. after work, i went to the grocery store to buy some healthy snacks. and o.m.g. these 2 screaming kids were driving me CRAZY! i was in the grocery store for about 30 minutes (i took my time looking around) and they screamed the whole freakin' time. how did i know? you could hear them scream from one end to the other. i'm not kidding. and when i had to cross paths with them, i noticed that they were screaming for no reason. just b/c they felt like it. and their parents didn't do anything. i would have slapped those kids myself if i was taller and older. i have no tolerance for misbehaved kids. it's the parents fault unless they have scientific proof that their kid(s) is(are) messed up. my kids aren't going to be like that. and if they are, there will be no dinner for them that night. ok, i'm kidding about that, but the dinner won't be tasty. alright. back to the dumb job. btw, are you voting? :) song of the day: backstreet boys - as long as you love me (heard on the radio this morning) (^.^)v Squirted 8:49 AM by E-J YiTuesday, April 01, 2003
insert your own title here: creative, isn't it? yesterday our family was having a heated discussion on what kind of guy would make a good candidate for a husband. well, more like what wouldn't make a good candidate. for me, the height is a big issue. yeah, yeah, i'm 5'2" and i'll admit, i'm vertically challenged. but that doesn't mean my kids have to be. i want my kids taller than me. most definitely. and i know that with nutrition, milk, and stuff can make kids taller than generations before, but genetics plays a big key in what your children will look like. having said that, i'd prefer someone who was atleast 5'10". that's actually going down from my original stance of 6'. sara told me, "joyce, you need to lower the height thing b/c you need to be with the short people." haha. thanks, sara. (i'll remember you said that and give you a "nice" toast at yo wedding.) am i being too picky? like my sister asked, "what if he was perfect, but 5'5"? dang. tough question. i guess if that's who God wants me to marry, i gotta. but i'd have to think about it for a long time. am i being superficial? others say i'm picky b/c either a guy is: *gross (as in does disgusting movements or says things that turn me off) *too short *not athletic *doesn't speak korean better than me *doesn't have ambition/motivation/direction *too girly *not Christian yeah, i'll probably be the last to get married of my friends. lol. oh, but i have hope. my cousin got married last saturday. he was 38. my other cousin who got married last year was 37. and i have 4 other cousins who aren't married NOR have any significant others and who are over the age of 30. wonderful. i added the poll to the left. hopefully it works. i need some input. thanks. my family says yes. what do you think? i'm terribly sleepy today. olive garden for lunch was great! waiter sucked tho. =P alright. back to punching keys. song of the day: baby vox - get up this song reminds me of the time when david (um) danced to this song. lol. wide world of sports: dang, my whole weekend was filled to the brim with sports. here are lots of pictures to make things interesting... friday night our young adults group went to joe willy's for dinner which was pretty good and then we spent the rest of the night watching "barbershop".
pretty funny movie. it was a good distraction to watch instead of the embarrassing loss to the 'blazers. sooo glad that i didn't see that mess. saturday i woke up around what i thought was about 10am, but turns out to be noon. dang. then my dad decides to ask me to go with him to the shop and have me watch the movie posters from getting stolen. we put all the movie posters outside, but it turned out to be a huge mistake as 3 framed posters go flying like sheets of paper. there was glass everywhere and one passerby even claimed that he almost got hit by one. good thing he didn't! (saves us a lawsuit, right?) anyways, i spent the time organizing my photos which was really good. i don't have nearly as many pics as lydia or ann, but it was fun to look through. i've decided that i'm taking more pics of my friends from now on. so if you see me, be prepared to strike a pose! ;) came home for a delicious dinner of handroll california rolls while watching MAH GIRL, MICHELLE KWAN!!! whoo hoo~! 5 TIME WORLD CHAMPION~! dang, she makes me cry almost every single time i see her skate.
Sunday, i had Church which went really well b/c our guest speaker david is just so funny. so witty. =) then me & julie went home early (b/c we had 1 car & julie had to do some stuff) but we got to catch the second half of the mavs game and yeah, i'll let dirk's pic do the talking:
yeah, baby! and that's WITHOUT finley! after that me & my dad watch the lpga tourney with michelle wie. didn't get enough tv coverage i thought, but i'm biased. it really bothered me that her dad was all up in face and stuff. i was really surprised that my dad thought he was being too overbearing.
she didn't do as good as she could have, but she'll be greatness. i predict it. after that, i spent some time reading the newspaper (sports section, of course) and tried to take a nap to no avail. (my family's kinda loud.) so i just go downstairs to watch tv again. and yeah, what else to watch, but the ncaa tourney? texas was up with 7 minutes to go. this guy has skills like nash!
does he have a kid? i dunno if it was him or some other guy holding a baby... i went to sleep early last night. or atleast tried to. dang, i'm so tired right now. i could seriously use a nap time. and bathroom time. ouchie. and more good news...
rangers actually won their opener against the world series champs angels! dang. that's pretty good. park chan ho pitches on tuesday. i'm scurred for him. scurred. song of the day: the eyes of texas - UT's song...heard it yesterday on the news. how sweet! (^.^)v Squirted 11:16 AM by E-J Yi
