off to the races!: i think the whole yao ming/shaq thing is starting to get big. it already made it to espn's insider (found on their website, but you must be a subscriber) or you can read the article here. the racist remarks are starting to gain momentum in the media. let's just see how far this gets. a timeline of offensive actions/statements directed toward yao ming even before him came to the nba. what a nice welcome. i hope SOOO badly (bad grammar) that shaq either apologizes (not likely) or yao doesn't let shaq get the best of him. go yao ming!!

man i cried so much watching the korean drama (english title), "the little mermaid". gosh it was sad. =*( helped me fall asleep faster though. it seems like these days it's getting harder & harder for me to get up in the morning. i had never used the "snooze" button before. whenever i hear the alarm, i just get up right away no matter how sleepy i am. but this past week, i woke up and just sat there in my bed, frantically thinking of excuses for me to go in late to work. car wouldn't start. got in a car accident. had to take someone to the hospital. overslept?? i don't know how long i can take commuting about 2 hrs a day. it really, really stinks. and what do i do when i get here that early in the morning?? nothing.

julie's going to go watch "drumline" with cindy today. lucky ducks. man, i REALLY, REALLY want to see it again. and i think i'm going to get "signs" on dvd. i think it's a highly entertaining movie. when joaqun phoenix says, "vamanos, children, vamanos!" it makes me laugh every time. if you haven't seen, you should. totally worth it atleast once. but yeah, kinda lame ending.

mmm...what to eat for lunch today? i'm feeling kinda wendy's, taco bell, or whataburger. hmm. i hesitate with taco bell b/c they mess up my order EVERY SINGLE TIME. only ONCE have they gotten it correct. makes me angry so i decided not to give them business. i'd eat wendy's, but i have to get their salad, but it's kinda too cold to eat it today. whataburger messed my order last time i went. first time out of like the 20+ times that i've gone. so i'm not counting on them to screw up again. of course i could go to mcdonald's, but i dunno if i feel like eating that. my choice for lunch is precisely determined on how i feel when i'm driving. if i feel kinda grossed out my fried chicken (whataburger) then i'll go to mcdonald's or wendy's. if i feel too cold (which is probably today), then i won't go to wendy's. i can kinda get sick of mcdonald's which is sometimes too juicy so i'll go to whataburger. i went to taco cabana yesterday and it was ok. the salsa was terrible & the enchiladas were salty, but the tortillas are SOOO good. ok, i am spending entirely too much time writing about fast food. i'll stop. i'm getting hungry though...

i am mad. nick carter is going on tour, but he is not coming to texas. what da heck?? texas has freakin' the 2nd or 3rd largest population in the us. he's making a HUGE mistake. i am about to go off the bandwagon. i got a newsletter saying, "nick has sold over 200,000 copies!!!" (with all those !!!) i was like, that is NOT something to brag about. that's sad. justin sold like 2 million. that totally sux. blah.

did you see "the bachelorette"? BOB IS HILARIOUS. he's like my cousin walter & will ferrell morphed into one. haha. trista looks pretty still, but yeah, the upcoming preview of the upcoming episodes does make her look a lil ho-ish. there were like 2 or 3 guys i thought were good-looking. esp the tall blonde guys. =) and 4 guys from dallas! dallas people are always on reality shows b/c 1) better-looking, 2) friendly, 3) hilarious (in a negative or positive way). i'm so proud of dallas! k, i'm a big dork.

lunch went okay with john, cindy, and julie. cindy did most of the talking for which i am grateful. i don't make good conversations with people who kinda gross me out. i owe you one, cindy! =)

mavs won yesterday! yeah it's kinda a tedious subject, but i'm VERY nervous about next wednesday game against the kings. we HAVE to win to justify our record. gosh, i hope we win!!

yesterday i get an email from a co-worker who writes, "julie, can you blah blah blah..." i was like wtHECK? to send me an email he has to look up my name or type in my name "JOYCE PARK". and then later on, another co-worker says, "julie, can you..." i then told her promptly of my REAL name and she was like, "i'm sorry! i do that all the time. do you get that alot?" UH NOOOOOOO. JUST FROM YOU. (which actually she does call me julie alot) but i told her, "i get called julie once a day." i don't care if she thinks i'm a prick for saying that, but i had to. it's getting to be TOO much. i already got called "julie" today. how nice. dude. people are just rude. and they want me to come to their holiday party? WITH JULIE? what are they going to call me THEN? HUH???

*deep breath* that just rocks my boat every single time. after reading duke's (see left nav bar) blog, i feel like he experienced the same thing that i have been going through since 9/9/02. it's extremely aggrevating and disappointing.

busy as a b: dang i was kinda busy today. doing other people's busy work...got called "julie" 2x today. nice.

i wish i could find out about this one thing. like asap so i don't get my hopes up. waiting sux. =P

yesterday me, julie, sandi, and grace went to avanti's. it was GOOD. kinda expensive and portions are small, but it was good. i had lobster & crab ravioli. guess how much? $3 per ravioli. and i got like 6. i'm not kidding. i ended up eating part of grace's carbonera & julie's veal parmigiana(?). anyways, it was julie's bday dinner. today she's going to todai for what else? free dinner. i'm going to be heading to sam's (pastor, not the wholesale club) to watch the game tonight. i haven't watched a mavs game since saturday. i think i'm suffering from withdrawal...

tonight the "bachelorette", or as sam likes to call it, "the ho" is on. i didn't catch "joe millionaire" (i'm like the only person in america who didn't). i want to watch the 1st one definitely, but don't know how long it will keep me interested.

this made me angry. why the heck did the author of this article put, "...South Koreans are angry about issues ranging from perceived U.S. heavy-handedness in the Middle East to a gold medal lost to an American speed skater" and not his freakin' name apolo ohno. he's a household name. why did they have to protect him? my dad says koreans shouldn't blame ohno, but the judge who gave the wrong call. uh, if it wasn't for ohno, there wouldn't BE a call. and i don't think people understand exactly why korean are mad at bush. b/c he apologized (not really sincerely) 3 months AFTER the g.i.'s killed the girls. i know america did a great thing for korea (south) by saving it in the korean war, but no need to take advantage.

this also makes me angry. entry for today. i'm not going to stoop as low as shaq and call him the "n-word", but he sure is racist. i hope pays for his racist remarks in a LOSING SEASON. i don't care if kobe scored 12 3-pters yesterday. he can't carry the team. i hope dallas BOUNCES ALL OVER THEM. SO THERE. HA! >P

travesty of a mockery of a sham!: this is sad. even if there was an error, don't go with it publicly. nfl just ruined its rep by announcing their blunder. oh you might say, "hey, atleast their admitting their mistake..." NO. this just makes the loss worse for the giants. it's a horrible, horrible thing. and i'm not even a giants fan! and now you got a center retiring all b/c of this...that's sad.

ok, you probably don't care. yeah, i don't care that much anymore. i'm just glad the mavs won again yesterday. gonna watch the hawks game tomorrow b/c i haven't seen the hawks in action yet.

yesterday me & ann went to royal tokyo located right near my house. not the one on greenville. yeah, they have the same name. i wonder if the other will sue the other. hmm. anyways, don't go there. it's $$$ and not that good. my critical restaurant review, i know. =)

the radio has been playing alot of "old" songs lately. i heard "i put my hand up on your hip/when i dip, you dip, we dip" by freak nasty. man, that song was popular back when, huh? i heard ghost town dj's "last time, i dream of you/i want to be your baby maybe or something like that. and every friday around 4-5, domino (106.1) plays old school songs like "ice, ice, baby" and "jump around".

are you ready for some football?: man, there have been some GOOD football games on tv lately. miami/osu. giants/49ers. TEXAS/lsu. i'm loving it!! :D

the weekend went pretty good. Bible study on friday. i got pretty sad when sam was talking about leaving and slowly detaching himself from the group. it's going to be a horrible day for me. =*( saturday was spent getting the car fixed, watching the mavs game (we won!) and then headed to ice/hockey skate @ stonebriar. i wanted to skate with hockey skates and i think i can't go back to figure skates. they suck. hockey skates are so comfortable and it makes you go faster. although i wish i was like really good at it. ann came for the last 30 minutes so i was glad that sam & co got to see that i had a real friend. haha. jk.

sunday, julie had 2 of her friends come to church which was good. i dunno if they're coming back though which is bad. but we'll see. then we went to the pyuns' for a cooking demonstration (=free food) from "the pampered chef". sam kept asking, "where the pampers?" i couldn't stand the talk about "buy this, buy that" so i went outside and ate nathan's hotdogs (GOOD hotdogs!) while talking with the boyz, er, um, eddie & jimmy.

back to the miami/osu game: i wanted osu to win b/c i wanted miami to break their winning-streak. sam told us we were watching history. i agreed. but his "historical" reason? he said, "you will NEVER see me & hanna root for osu ever again." why? b/c osu is michigan's bitter-rival. they HATE each other. only reason why sam & hanna rooted for them is so the pac 10 would win, thus making michigan's loss to osu not as bad. i never knew a buckeye was a poisonous nut. and created for the sake of "poisoning a wolverine". can you believe that?? after the game was over, sam said ohio fans are probably burning down stuff...their own houses b/c they're too stupid to burn other stuff like normal people. it's funny to learn about tradition/history btwn colleges. hehe. sam said we were born at the wrong time b/c we never got to see the "pony express" (smu's winning seasons). oh well.

mmm...wendy's or whataburger today? we'll see! (^.^)v
