stuff sucks: i didn't have a very good yesterday and so far, it's been pretty crappy too. not i'm not PMS-ing. it's just been a pretty crappy day and a half so far...

let's start with yesterday: people at work kept calling me "julie" and even one had the nerve to say, "what's her name?" after i've been here for over 2 months now. now i know my sister is a good person, but this is a little ridiculous, don't u think? my dad says it's b/c my name is an old-fashioned name so it's harder to remember than julie. whatever. they're stupid and don't about anybody but themselves. i don't buy into that "i'm not good with names" crap. that just means you don't care enough to remember.

next, people were making a huge deal of halloween which i don't really celebrate b/c it's not really a good holiday. but we had this cook-off at work and people had to vote which looked the best and tasted the best. i am totally fine with this, but what i'm not fine with (doesn't make sense) is when people ask me to do things for stuff i don't really want to, and they don't give me good instructions. and then i get blamed, well, not really, but they get annoyed with me, i think. i have 2 people who never give me good enough instructions (run-on) and i always have to ask more questions to make things clear. those people are stupid, too.

moreover (i'm trying to sound professional), the traffic has been horrendous for the past 3 days. i have driven over an hour to get home each day. injustice i tell you. and then i gotta pick up my dad from the gageh (which was another "event" in itself, but for my sake, i don't want to think about it.) b/c of that i missed "survivor" and missed out why the chinese girl got kicked out unanimously. geez! i went to bed pissed off except for the fact that i listened to nick's cd again and found 2 additional songs i liked. "i got you" is really getting into my head. probably more so b/c in his dvd, he has a fake music video of him singing it. nick is pretty funny in the video. him just being himself. gotta love it! (although i think the "fan" in there is fake...)

today, i almost got in an accident on my way to work. i mean, i was freakin' soooo close to hitting the black suburban infront of me. i could feel my tires screeching backwards. and my <3 was pounding for like 10 minutes after that. then i get to work and...yes, somebody calls me, "julie". wonderful, isn't it? next, i get a call from a person who wants to speak to "kristy chin". there isn't a "kristy chin" and she insists there is. i told her there wasn't. she was so freakin' rude i almost hung up on her.she then says, "well maybe you don't know" and i replied, "no, i DO know and there isn't a person by that name who works here. i work here, i should know." then she's like "i called this number and i got her voicemail." well, the number she called was a conference room number and i explained that to her, but her stupid, stubborn head couldn't get that through. but i couldn't be patient anymore b/c she was giving me attitude to i transferred her, but then she got cut off. she calls again and continues to insist about "kristy chin" and she rudely asks me, "do you think i'm lying or making this up?" and i said, "no, i didn't say that, but maybe you were misinformed or the person who told you to call wrote down the wrong information." then the !@#$@#$% hangs up on me. #@%$#%. then the real julie calls me and tell me that she got in an accident. some lady w/o her insurance card (she has insurance, but forgot the card) side swipes my sister. atleast she wasn't hurt. that corolla is a cursed car. has given us NOTHING but trouble. i hate that car with a passion.

now i'm sitting here all alone. i feel pathetic, but oh well. today's friday and i'm meeting up with the young adults today and i am looking forward to that. :) so i am going to brush all that crap aside and just look ahead. tomorrow's my drum lesson so i gotta be happy about that, too!

a picture that always cheers me up:

it's joel & carolyn pyun! (^_^)v

moving on: i found out that somebody got a gf. good for him. i kinda wish i was dating somebody right now. there are those moments when you're like, "gosh i wish i had a bf right now..." right sara? :)

anyhoo, i corrected some of my answers & added some down below so if you feel inclined, please read the q & a thingy below.

espn.com & its page 2 is taking too long to load. boo on them!

i bought my pair of drumsticks yesterday. promark 2B's. cheaper than i thought, but then again, they probably have a short life. but i'm excited to learn!! :)

tae called yesterday and we're (the young adults) are going to be hanging out on friday. no Bible study. good break for sam. he needs some relaxation.

i have to admit...i'm kinda disappointed with nick's album. but it's me, not him. i'm just not into harder rock. "help me" was a GREAT song and i really do love it, but i dunno about the others. some are ok, but overall, it would be hard for me to listen to all the songs. no biggie. his DVD was cute. i'm guessing guys won't really like it, but it just shows nick being himself which is cool. =)

alright time to go surfing..."surfing u.s.a..." (^_^)v

a "normal" entry: since i didn't get to post yesterday, this will be a long entry. but since i post long entries, anyway, it will be "normal".

i forgot to mention 2 things that happened over the weekend:

1. i learned to drive stick from sam. man, i think i jacked his car up. and he was so calm & nice about it. i was like freakin' out b/c i felt like i was gonna break his car. and when the car was like jerking back & forth like a cheap rollercoaster ride. but he encouraged me by saying that i didn't have to start the car up as many times as other beginners. :) anyways, i'm glad i atleast learned.

2. i think God was thanking me for giving 10% tithes: even though it was a small gesture of kindness, it really made me happy. i went to a taco bell that has a pizza hut attached to it. i always get an order of breadsticks which comes out to an even $1.50. when me & julie pulled up to pay, he was handing julie a drink, but we were like, "no, we didn't order that". and then he was like "it comes with a #5", but we corrected him and said that we had only ordered breadsticks. i was kinda annoyed. and then when he handed us the breadsticks, julie handed him the money, but he wouldn't take it. and julie insisted, but he motioned us to go. it was so nice!! and actually right before we pulled up to order, "more than that" was on KVIL so i was in a GOOD mood.

yesterday, me & julie had dinner with jimmy & susan @ pappasito's. it was actually good. i didn't like it the first time i went, but i dunno, maybe it was the company (although they were there the last time i went) or maybe they made the food better. anyhoo, it was enjoyable and we had a great conversation, too. i am so thankful for jimmy & susan for being so kind & generous. i hope that me & my husband will be like them. =) we got to talking about whether or not we believe in ghosts, and i said i did. i don't think there are necessarily all scary/evil ghosts and so susan was like, "so you wouldn't be scared if you woke up in the middle of the night and saw a ghost looking at you waving 'hi joyce'? oh my gosh, i'm scaring myself!!" it was sooo funny~. but i guess that would be scary. but i dunno, i don't think stuff like that happen. i think ghosts sometimes are there to either be, yes, evil, or to help out. maybe i'm weird, but i also believe in demons, too. but i'm deathly scared of those and i will NEVER watch 'the exorcist'. that's a scary movie. or so i've heard. =\

after dinner, me & julie head over to best buy. for what? to get NICK CARTER'S DEBUT CD, NOW OR NEVER, OF COURSE!!!!!!! but i had to get the "limited edition" one b/c it comes with a 35-minute dvd that includes some behind-the-scenes footage of him recording & making the video and the "help me" video, too! what a bargain! only $4 more. but it took a while to find it b/c the guy had to go to the back to look for it. there was only 15 in the store, and yes, i was the only one that day to get it. kinda sad, but hey, i still bought it. :D great pics, too! i didn't have a chance to watch the dvd yet b/c...

the lights just went out here. but my computer was still on. how weird. now they're back on.

well, i didn't get to watch the dvd b/c my family was quizzing each other on american government. random, i know, b/c my mom is going to be naturalized as an American citizen. i thought she & my dad would be Korean citizens forever, but both of them are going to be naturalized. when i asked her why she said that all her friends are and that she has lived here for so long that she doesn't really care. and then with a serious tone she goes, "do you know what's the best thing about being an American citizen? You get to vote!" i was so surprised that she had said that. and me & julie asked her, "who said that?" and she quickly responded, "it says in the book!" LOL!! we were laffing so freakin' hard. and i thought she really meant it. hehe. :) in the Korean community telephone book, there's a whole section (100 questions) that describes what questions will be on the naturalization test and its answers. later on we find out that my mom memorized all those answers for nothing b/c she meets the requirements to not take the test. lol. she doesn't even know the pledge of allegiance, but she knows how many house of representatives there are which is more than julie can say. one REALLY funny thing that my sister said was...and you KNOW this will be funny:

julie: mommy, do you know what ship the pilgrims came on to america? (this Q has nothing to do with the test itself, she just wanted to act smarter than my mom)

mommy: yes, the mayflower

julie: ok, then do you know the names of the OTHER 2 SHIPS that came too?

at this point, i KNEW where this was heading...

mommy: no, mollah (i dunno in korean)

with a HUGE grin on her face and in a matter-of-fact tone...

julie: the santa maria & the nina.

=O omg. this is a product of the plano school system. choose your districts carefully!!!

i have my first drum lesson this saturday. i'm pretty excited about that! :D his name is rob tovar and used to help teach plano drumline a little bit. not sure if i remember him, but i gotta go buy my drumsticks today. whoo hoo! i want to be a jamming drummer!!! yeah yeah!

i'm going out to lunch today with co-workers. we're going to a Korean restaurant. my first outing. going out with 3 married guys. julie had a problem with this, but i don't. i hung out with jimmy, sam, and tae before. and even hung out with them in the SAME hotel room. NO, i didn't sleep there, but if my dad doesn't have a problem with it, then nobody should. but it should be fun. they're even the same ages as the young adult guys.

speaking of tae, he's coming today!! yay! :) gonna be doing some MAJOR eating this weekend, i bet. hopefully, we'll have time to hang out. =]

ok, this is long enough, but imma do that q & a thing that ann has up on her page next. so two LONGGGG posts today! :) (^_^)v

grrrrr: i have gotten 2 emails from 2 different people on the same thing. they are trying to scare me with one of those "look-for-something-b/c-there's-a-ghost-in-the-pic" thingys. i hate those. i'll never forget the "mcdonald's" thing that steve sent me while me & grace were trying to work on our accting project. we screamed for 5 minutes straight b/c it kept popping up. sucked. if you actually LIKE that sort of thing, go here.

here's a pic of my pastor's two adorable children. their mom had taken the pics at different ages, but thought this was too cute to pass up.

and here's a bigger pic of caleb, who my mom dreams about during the day. she said she was "obsessed" with him. maybe you can see why. :)

blah blah blah blah blah: lots of random stuff happened this weekend...

*emmitt smith broke the all-time rushing record. made me cry when he was hugging daryl johnston. :*)

*went shopping on saturday and got a cute polo (boys) sweatshirt. is there something wrong with this? my sister did. i can't find womens' polo sweatshirts that are under $30. thankyouverymuch! =P

*laffed my arse off when eddie demonstrated why puppets don't "talk like this". (those who have taken puppetry(?) classes know the secret: you don't move the top of your hand when you make them "talk". you only move your thumb. when julie asked "why?" that's when eddie did his infamous demonstration and managed to hurt his neck in the process.) i'm sorry, but you had to be there.

*my parents and i watched a korean tv show that only korea would produce: a show where celebs (singers & actors) have a karaoke singing competition on who knows the most karaoke songs. your opponent puts in a random number and you have to sing it word-for-word!! it's amazing/disappointing to find out how many songs you know/don't know compared to how many songs are really out there.

*actually brought a salad to work today. i managed to weigh myself at home and found i've gained a freakin' 10 lbs!! long time ago, i never really cared about my weight b/c usually i'd eat anything i wanted and not have to worry about anything. not anymore, my friend. and it's quite sad. but i've decided to mix my junk food with my greens. :)

*i am officially putting KVIL 103.7 on my radio speed dial b/c they are consistent in playing backstreet boys. i heard "more than that" yesterday and "i want it that way" on my way to work this morning. what a great radio station. can't say the same for kiss (i hate them) fm.

*daylight savings didn't help me at all. i stayed up an extra hour saturday night (watching the karaoke show) and last night, couldn't fall asleep and now i'm paying for it. geez. and i won't get to catch up on sleep until this saturday. which reminds me, i must have slept most of the day on saturday. i was dead tired. me & julie went to stonebriar for a little shopping and i came back so pooped. korean videos can't even keep me awake. *gasp!* but then again, there's nothing really on right now that will keep me from taking naps. >.<

*friday's bible study got me all excited to start planning & executing Church activities and stuff. we even had a meeting yesterday at Church. jimmy asked me to do the powerpoint slides during service which i also take very seriously. hehe. i hope we get alot accomplished this upcoming months. oh & good news: sam & co probably won't be leaving until summer. yessssss~! i probably get to see caleb walk!! whoo hoo!! he's soooo cute, but kinda heavy. =P will post a pic of him & his cute sister rachel soon. :)

of course, as always, i have written too much. probably will post later today. (^_^)v
